Great rod
It is an ugly stick I am using to replace one I broke. Kinda strange paying more for the rod than you paid for the reel. They work and I was heartbroken when I realized I had broken one of them. Bought a poor replacement at a fish shop just not a good one at all.

Unimpressed
Thought this was going to be a great rod from all product reviews, but not super happy at all, used the rod probably 12-15 times and the joint where you assemble the rod isn’t very good now, as much as I push them together, they seem to come loose and then when casting the top bit comes flying off into the ocean, not happy as there not cheap

Really worth the money.
Great mackerel rod, great lure rod,,,,, gives a very good cast to get mackerel float out there using only a 1oz. lead, dont buy a cheapo mackerel rod, get this rod it will last a long time, and its s light as a feather. Was using this with 40 yr old abu 6500 c multiplier.

Its a realy nice fishing rod but a few problems. It came in terribble plastic packaging which caused the eyeyelts to be all bent, i just bent them back though. And i got sent wrong casting weight

My favourite rod of all time
This is my "everything" rod, I have used it for everything from small sea bass, to large bass, bonitos on casting jigs, little tunny, small mahi mahi and every other predator I can put a lure in front of, casts amazing when paired with 20 or 30g lure, nice and sensitive and the typical ugly stik bent that won't quite when you are tight

Great, Reliable Rod — Perfect First Catch Experience
The Ugly Stik Bigwater fishing rod is a great rod overall. It feels strong, durable, and handles both fresh and saltwater really well. I recently caught my first fish with it, and it performed perfectly. I paired it with a Penn Spinfisher reel, and the setup works really well together. Very happy with it.
