Pettex Roman Jet Black Gravel 8 kg (Pack of 1)

I recently added this black gravel to my aquarium and overall I’m very happy with it. The deep black colour makes the fish stand out beautifully and gives the tank a clean, modern look. It really transforms the whole setup. When I first added water, I’ll be honest — it looked quite messy and cloudy. Even after rinsing, there was still some dust that made the tank murky. However, once I turned on the filter, everything cleared up in less than 24 hours. After that, the water became crystal clear and the gravel looked fantastic.

Bought this for my shrimp tank in midnight mix blue. Its small and gets everywhere but its the best I have used. Its a lovely deep colour and looks great when the tank light's on. I wanted a sea bottom effect that would give the tank a proper under water theme and with real plants and seashell hidey holes for the shrimps i am so pleased with the effect. I have made it an uneven bottom with high points and dips this gravel is great for aquaplaning. It helps the shrimps when looking for food its easier for them to move about. I definitely recommend it. My shrimps recommend it, and I'm chuffed to say the shrimplets do too. I'm positive I saw some teeny weeny ones this morning.

Quite good. Looks nice but did find a small piece of rusty wire which could have caused injury to the tank inhabitants or poisoned the water. Very lucky to have found it whilst rinsing the gravel in a bucket.

What a bargain delivered free on Amazon. Enough gravel to cover the base of a tank 60cm x 30cm, approximately 1 inch deep. Nice and white! Easy to rinse the gravel and it didn't take long for water to run clear in a colander. Perfect!

We use this gravel to cover the compost in our house plants as it's great for suppressing fungus gnats. It works a treat and looks good.

Beautiful colour

Bought this, for the plant pots, for my artificial rose bushes. Looks nicer than the big pebbles, I've seen others use, i think.

Gravier d'une jolie couleur et suffisamment gros pour couvrir le fond d'un aquarium. Par contre, il vaut mieux le rincer avant au risque de salir l'eau lors du remplissage.

Es perfecta, para un acuario de 60L 2kg van perfectos. Tenía miedo de que tiñera el agua, pero ya lleva una semana en el acuario y así es como se ve! Da mucha luz al acuario, combina muy bien con las plantas y da sensación de frescor y luminosidad. Recomiendo enjuagar las gravas siempre antes de poner en el acuario.
