As of 3/14/2024, I have not read the book-ordered a whole bunch of them
I've always read VC Andrews books and I've found them to be interesting from the very beginning, that I cannot put the book down or I have stayed up very late at night to read. So, I'm sure this will be a good read like all the others.

Good Book
It was a good book and I’m glad to know what happened after. There was a little confusion due to no one really caring what the mother did, and it was different then the other books. I still recommend the read. Can’t go wrong with VC Andrew’s.

Better than the first
I enjoyed this second book better than the first (Eden’s Children). Here you get more of Big John (Faith and Trevor’s dad), mama’s spirit is still around, but mostly it just torments poor Trevor. We meet Gabby she is John’s girlfriend who also happens to be Nick’s sister (John’s best friend). Gabby is a villain, but mostly she’s just immature and selfish. I hate how Trevor’s character ends. He seemed to have everything under control, but little by little he just immerses himself in mama’s world…Overall it was a good book.

Deep; Dark; Difficult
Deep and dark. A difficult book to read even after putting aside any prejudices and/or personal relatedness. It’s a journey that takes you through very specific but profound complex mental health issues which, without any professional oversight, is likely to result in reader alienation towards the characters in one direction or another. There is a sense that there would be a sequel to the account being unfolded, yet in the final few chapters, the entire outcome becomes extremely predictable and something of an anti-climax.
