I charge a 12v 20a lifepro4 using an E-FAST 7 stage smart battery charger. When first connected to the battery the charger starts at 2a and slowly increases the amperage then drops. According to the user quick start guide, the charger uses a multiple sawtooth routine to charge the battery which constantly varies the amperage.
