Very delicious!

Too few pieces and a lot of nuts compared to nougat

This nougat is too sweet and tastes flat because in nougat there should be no unleavened bread which was part of the recipe of this nougat. Also, this nougat needs more almonds. I was raised in France, my mother was French I have eaten a lot of French nougat, I ate two pieces of this nougat then gave up because of the inordinate amount of sugar and flat taste. Nougat should be sweet but not so much so that the sugar burns your mouth which the over zealous amount of sugar and the dry bread like texture in this nougat is very disappointing. My father who is from Spanish bloodline on both sides of his family gave up after eating 1/2 piece of this nougat. Finally the price of this nougat is too expensive.

I have fond memories of nougat from years past. Unfortunately it's not like american nougat at all. It has a tougher texture and mouthfeel. Flavor it a bit so-so.

Fine sugar and glucose syrup provide the necessary sweetness and structure, while the whipped egg whites contribute to the nougat's light and airy texture. The almonds bring a satisfying crunch and depth of flavor. They come in a lovely tin that help make them a great holiday gift.

This delightful candy is delicious and has a light, slightly chewy texture. This is much lighter and more flavorful than the nougat I've previously eaten. As soon as the candy hits my mouth, it begins to soften and dissolve, releasing a lovely honey-vanilla flavor. I like the addition of toasted almonds, which provide a bit of a savory surprise to finish off the sweet treat. I like that these candies come individually wrapped in a specialty tin so that they will stay fresh longer, and I can savor them. Though, I have to hide them from my children because they love them too. Not only are these delicious, but they seem like an extra-special treat since they're imported. These would make a great gift for a discerning person who has everything.
