When I wanted to get into hydroponics I thought I would need to hold off on getting a system. The other brands similar models were around $300 and up at the time. I see a lot of other amazon brands creating their own affordable versions but I have been using this one for 5 months now and I love it! I see they've created a step up model that I'm interested in, but this one has been simple and effective for me. The kit came with essentially everything you need to start right away besides your seeds of choice. They make pre-seeded pods from a bunch of brands to purchase. I purchased Aerogarden's herb mix seeds and set it up. Easy and was up and running with seeds planted in minutes. The water pump is silent and adjustable lighting is helpful, kind of wish it was a little taller though! I made sure to move the leaves from touching the top as the lights can burn the leaves if too close of course. The results were kind of astonishing. I had a pretty big herb garden in about 2 months! It grew so crazy I started giving some of the herbs and their trimmings in water to friends and family and they now have been growing their own! I've started cherry tomatoes from botanical interests in the seed pods it comes with and they're doing great!

The Ahopegarden has been a delightful addition to my countertop and my life. The day it arrived, my four-year-old daughter and I planted seeds, and just a month later, she enjoyed her very first homegrown salad. Each day after school and work, we spend time observing the growth together, noting new leaves and expanding roots. She’s fascinated by feeding the plants with light and nutrients, and she loves the idea that we're growing something we can eat. This experience has become a progressive learning tool for her, sparking her curiosity in science and instilling a sense of sustainable living—a skill that may one day be essential rather than just a hobby. We've planted Tiny Tim tomatoes, dwarf bell peppers, and various lettuce varieties, and I’m thrilled to report a 100% germination rate with three seeds per pod. One small tip for future users: with lettuce, it may be best to leave a few pods unoccupied to give the plants space to spread horizontally. Overall, I’m incredibly impressed with how simple and almost effortless the Ahopegarden is to use—a truly wonderful product!

My experience with the garden has been amazing. I am getting growth already after 3 weeks. It is simple and easy to navigate. I love the design with the clear tank so I can see my roots and the clarity of the water. The size is small and compact so it fits perfectly on a small counter. Customer service has also been amazing.

Easy to set up for indoor herb growing. I replaced an older model with this one and the light timer works properly.

Works pretty well so far and the plants I planted are growing well. Only feature missing that this product should have is a timer when to turn it on and off tied to a clock. Otherwise you have to plug it in at the time you want it to start for the schedule to begin.

I have 4 hydroponic systems. 2 of my OYO systems pump has failed and without circulation of the water will cause all kinds of problems including algae in the tank. When I saw the A HOPE GARDEN SYSTEM I immediately thought being able to see the water quality and circulation was a great idea to see how the roots are growing on the bottom and for me not letting the roots get overgrown when I'm transplanting for my spring, summer and fall veggies. The pod holes are organized in a way to grow your plants with enough room to grow. Luckily my pods I was using to grow my veggies in the defective system fit perfectly in this system, so the plastic baskets when you might have to replace them are not a odd shape. I also like the timer of the grow light. You have a option of 16 or 22 hours to grow your plants and get the amount of light they crave to grow nice and strong. During the fall and winter I like growing my own herbs, lettuce and spinich and some cold hardy veggies to put in my greenhouse. With a 2 year warranty at least you have the piece of mind that your system should work like it should. I'll update this review to let you know how this system performs as time goes on. I'm so disappointed in this product. I don't know if mine is defective or what. When I was notified that this was going to be delayed for more than a week, I bought a different brand that was 1/2 the price of this one. Then this came and I can't beleive how much better the other one does. It takes a long time for germination and none of my plants did well at all in the Ahope garden. After germination, I transferred them to the other brand and they all are thriving. I started over on the ahope garden thinking I did something wrong but it's the same. Nothing is happening. The water in the other brand moves more and it waters them, this one just sits and barely does anything at all. The lights are similar but the water movement is much different and I think that's why the one that was 1/2 the price of it does SO MUCH better. Another important thing is that each time I try to raise or lower the lights the whole thing comes apart and everything falls inside the unit! It's crazy. The other brand is not problem! Moves with ease. I sent a message to them asking for help to see if mine is not working properly, hopefully they will have some insight. The photos of plants are in the other brand. The ones waiting for germination are the ahope system. Can't show grown plants because they just don't grow. :( I'm going to wait for an answer then buy another one of the other brand. Really disappointed to say the least
