Has anyone had a problem with theirs being too sticky? I cannot seem to get the vinyl to come off of the transfer tape

Yep... what a waste of money..... i couldn't use it for anything. The adhesive is way too sticky. I will never purchase again. I've since went back to the more traditional "masking tape" type transfer paper.

How would a grid on the backing help align graphics?

It doesn't. Its probably that way so you can cut along the lines with scissors if you don't use a straight edge.

Will this work if I’m using the wet application method?

It will work but what I recommend is paper transfer tape. It's easier to smooth out the bubbles and it releases moisture better.

I need a transparent glossy contact paper. Could I use this product as contact paper
