Very handy little pump
Just attach a pipe at either end and fix on your electric drill and get pumping. Surprisingly well made and easy to use. We had to pump out our central heating system with no drain valve and it did an amazing job. Worth the money just for that but have used several times for other things and it still works great.Very useful bit of kit!

ESENO Extra Heavy Duty Water Pump for Drill ReviewBrand: ESENOProduct: Extra Heavy Duty Water Pump for DrillOverviewThe ESENO Extra Heavy Duty Water Pump for Drill is designed to convert your standard electric drill into a powerful water pump. This makes it a convenient tool for various applications, such as draining water from pools, aquariums, ponds, and other water transfer tasks.FeaturesCompatibility: Works with most electric drills.Heavy Duty: Constructed to handle tough tasks and continuous use.Flow Rate: High water transfer rate, suitable for a range of applications.Portability: Lightweight and easy to transport.Durability: Made with robust materials to withstand rigorous use.PerformancePriming IssuesOne of the primary concerns users face with the ESENO Water Pump is related to priming. Proper priming is crucial for the pump to start moving water efficiently. Here are some common issues and tips to address them:Airlocks: Air trapped in the pump or hoses can prevent proper priming. Ensure all connections are airtight and the pump is filled with water before starting.Initial Fill: Users may need to fill the pump chamber with water manually to aid in priming. Without this initial fill, the pump may struggle to start.Pump Positioning: Positioning the pump below the water source can help with priming as gravity assists in filling the pump chamber.Flow Direction IssuesIncorrect flow direction is another challenge that users report. The ESENO Water Pump needs to be connected correctly to ensure the water flows as intended. Misconnecting the input and output hoses can result in water not being pumped or flowing in the wrong direction. Here are tips to avoid this issue:Clear Labeling: Ensure that the input and output ports are clearly labeled. If the labels are not clear or missing, refer to the user manual for guidance.Check Connections: Double-check hose connections before starting the drill. The input hose should be connected to the water source, and the output hose should lead to the discharge point.Flow Direction Arrows: Look for arrows or markings on the pump body indicating the correct flow direction. These markings can guide proper hose connection.User ExperienceEase of UseWhile the ESENO Water Pump offers high performance, users report that the initial setup can be tricky, especially for those unfamiliar with pump operations. Following the instructions carefully and addressing priming and flow direction issues can mitigate most problems.DurabilityUsers appreciate the pump's robust construction and ability to handle heavy-duty tasks. excellent water pressure, no leaks, excellent water flow. worth every penny.
i have bought this pump to flush my Seadoo in areas where there is no access to an outdoor tap. i use a 25L container full of water and a dosing bottle attached near my flushing port full of salt away. this setup works perfectly. there is great water flow and pressure and it will run through the 25L in about a minute and half.

Not self-priming despite what the advert says!
Firstly, this is not a self priming pump. It is critical that you fill the suction tube and flood the pump to get it working properly. You cannot just dip the suction tube in the water and expect it to work. The pump should ideally be located below the water level of the container to be emptied because the water will drain back into the container and the pump will run dry and be damaged if the outlet is higher than the container being emptied. The other thing to be warned about is that water will leak from the drive shaft bearing when using it. This is more of a nuisance than anything but if used indoors you will definitely want the pump over a container of some sort to catch this, especially if it is anything other than clean water. On the other side, it does work ok when properly primed and connected to a reasonably powerful mains electric drill, but I wouldn't use it at a high speed because I am not sure how the shaft seal would cope. You must properly fix the pump to something that will also support the drill and align the drill with the drive shaft, you cannot hold the pump whilst driving it, it wilI cause you some injury, but this is the case with most of this type of device. You have been warned! It does come with connections to make it an easy connection to standard hose pipe and it is a relatively cheap solution for intermittent use. Cheap and cheerful, it is what it is, it works but is far from perfect.

Cheap, but far far better than cheerful
The media could not be loaded. I had the option to buy an expensive wet and dry vacuum cleaner or some form of pump to empty a boat water tank. First rule of boating, don’t buy a boat. But if you do then this drill pump is invaluable. And it even works ashore! So the photos you see are the garden testing - what happens if you run it dry will the world end - NO. It filled an 8 litre bucket in about a minute using a cheap rechargeable battery drill. It was easy to use and the instructions are correct, it works in clockwise (screwing in/drilling mode). You’ll see I made a baseplate for it, but it does work if you hold the unit in one hand and the drill in the other. It’s compact, inexpensive and works really well. It’s certainly a keeper for the garage and if you need to transfer/empty water then this is the gadget for you.

Does what it says on the tin.
A very handy gadget. Good value for money and has made a host of jobs a lot easier. Well made and can empty a 200l water butt in around 20mins or so. Not the fastest but does what it needs to do.

Does the job perfectly
Seem to be a lot of mixed reviews of these cheaper drill driven pumps but this one seemed ok.Used it to get the last 1/4 of water out of my hottub that doesn't have a bottom drain. Just attached a shortest length of hose to into the hottub, scooped some water down the hose into the pump until it dribble out of the outflow of the pump then fired it up with my Dewalt cordless drill. I didn't need to mount it on anything, just held it to the side of the hottub to stop it spinning.Worked a treat, water came out at a fair pace and drained probably 50-100 litres of water in what must have been a few minutes at most. Comes with quick release hose fitting for both ends which is helpful. Very happy with it and no complaints for the price either.
