Excellent amp with my creamback upgrade.
This amp works exceptionally good for my.needs for practice. I got a randy rhodes pedal board, and the foot switch for the code 25 to use both amps as a stereo wet dry mini stack.i modded both amps,14 ga wire upgrade to the speaker from the board, and eminance cajun in the code 25, celestian creamback in the mg30fx.both are louder and clearer than before with dropping from 4 to 8 ohms so each amp has less wattage but the speaker efficiency makes up the difference, and its louder,3 decibel on the mg30, and 6 on the code.after modding the cabinets for the speaker with sound foam and poly fill to eliminate sound reflections, and add more low end to the mg, and more high end cut for the code 25, and less boxy sounding, more full direct sound projection and clarity as well as mega head room.its portable, louder, and has the best sound when saturated and pushed with my board and active pickups. It's impossible to blow as the amp.is 13 to 18 w after ohm drop and the speaker is 45.and the code has the 75 watt cajun. I ran the amp full and no clipping to the speaker , increased clarity and headroom.over stock, and much richer tones form the creamback, and cajun.

Great product for price.
If you are looking for a Marshall tone with decent effects this is probably the best you can do for under $600. -The crunch/od channels get a nice range of the classic Marshall sound and beyond. -The clean tone is full-bodied and shimmery. -The effects are limited but have a decent quality. -Tone overall is good. You can feel the equalizing; heavy bass and/or deep mid-range and/or sharp treble are nice and pronounced. A great product for beginners and intermediates and not to bad for a practice amp for professionals.

Took me a but to dial it in because im a newbi, but I love this amp and the many options I have to different tones without the need for added footpedals. For now this and youtube is all I need.

Marshall MG30GFX
Reviewed by an novice guitar player but avid audiophile. I have had the amp for about 60 days and my first impression was not great, but it was not bad. Getting a clean tone with a bit of gain and hint of chorus took some time. The directions were not precise enough to just get the green (clean) light. I am not a fan of the constant flashing red light as in when did a flashing red light ever mean anything good ? My amp to compare this to is an RMSAC40 with a twelve inch speaker and for clean sound the RMS can get louder. Also when next to a fender bass rumble 25 it's volume down on the bass and up on the Marshall to keep up, again clean setting. So for me as a newbie to this product there is indeed a leaning curve, a very rewarding one. Easy on the FX...small increments and patience should get you the sound you may be looking for. I used an Ibanez Gio HSS. Ibanez Gio HH and a 2003 Squire strat standard as well as a new Xavier pro500. Well after a 60 day break in the amp and I are getting along nicely, the speaker is breaking in etc. I would recommend the AMP but have the Fender Champion 100 way up on my list for next purchase. Will I sell the Marshall...It's a Marshall what do think, no. The reason for the 3 on value is because I think a good clean amp with proper pedal may be easier then adjusting the knobs on the fly. Well there you have it, if you get this amp I really do not believe you'll be disappointed.

Excellent value
Nice lightweight feature packed practice amp. For the price I'd get it again but the MG30 is the largest I'd consider in this line of Marshall amps. You'd only get more volume out of the MG50 and for the price difference the value diminishes. The amp affects are good but not good enough to warrant the foot switch in my opinion. The MG30 is the way to go.

A Christmas gift for my husband.
Husband loves it. As a novice guitar player this amp is perfect. Just the right size to move around the house, carry on to the back patio or take to a friend's house for a jam session. The price point was good too. Great sound for the size. He will get years of enjoyment.

Nice Little Practice Amp
I've had a lot of free time at home because I'm recovering from an accident, so I thought I'd pick up my guitars, which I haven't really had time for over the last several years. I wasn't happy with my old Line 6 amp, and wanted to upgrade, but I'm also not playing with anyone else, or planning on performing live, so I didn't want to break the bank. This was a perfect option. You get the quality of a Marshall with tons of sounds options, and you cannot beat the price. I recommend getting the pedal that allows you to switch between overdrive options without having to use your hands. Really helps when playing something that goes from clean to distorted, solos, etc. You can program it to your liking, or stick with the stock options they load into the amp. Takes a little work to get the sounds the way I like them, and I'm still experimenting with the delay options and stuff, but I highly recommend this if you're looking for a practice amp. It would also work for smaller live performances, especially if you mic it into a house system.
