Awesome pickup for the price 💯
Packaged & Shipped well and delivered quickly. It comes in a nice sleek box and inside, the unit is cradled in its own very nice designed plush foam pad. Underneath is the Type-C charging cable (witch I LOVE That is type C.) I chose the wireless design, and they also included the wired 1/4 inhookup If I wanted the option. So for my critique of the unit, I love the sleep black design the best out of the three they offer. It did come 80% charged already and I only had to charge both of the units for 20 minutes apiece till they both were 100%. The transmitter and receiver were already paired, out of the box. And installation in my accused guitar is pretty eas. If you already have your strings on your guitar it might be a tiny bit more challenging to install just so you don't drop the pickup inside of The body of your guitar. Depending on the size of your sound hole it mounts in a different spots. As you see mine Is a tad closer to the neck but still fit very nicely Not to mention snug (so no worries about it moving.) The wireless pickup comes with regular & body mic volume rotary knobs on each side. EQ is bass and treble and also has mic tone adjustments. The type C charging port, on/off, phase for feedback & match for pairing the receiver and transmitter. Pickup and body mic picks up and performs well. Since I Have the quarter inch receiver plugged into my foot pedal on stage, There is no latency or drop in sound. The video I have posted is with sound off and on both on regular volume and body mic volume. And All EQ on pickup have not been adjusted they came in factory. Also NOTE video is just with a 10watt amp just for sound test. I can't wait to run it through our powerful church speakers... This vintage jombo dreadnaught is going to sound AMAZING with this wireless pickup. So for anyone who is wondering.... YES, it's worth the price. If you've been wanting to have the best of both worlds acoustic and electric, and not want to spend a lot of $$$ on pickups not to mention cost to modify the instrument..... This is the best option for the $$$ and time. INSTALL, PLUG IN & PLAY. So I don't have any cons for this product. I'm very satisfied and I would purchase again 💯 The only thing bad I'm going to say and warn people about is, when ordering, make sure you add extra delivery comment... For Amazon driveer to leave it exactly where you want it at your door. My Amazon delivery person didn't even walk up to my door let alone knock.....they just left My package where anyone walking down the road could just walk up grab it and walk away. ( my house is right at a main thorough Fair Street. So AMAZON delivery person SUCKS at THEIR JOB for lack of appreciation of other people's purchases.

Good bang for the buck!
I recently acquired a D28 with plans to install a high end pickup at some point after the bank balance recovered a bit. I needed something relatively cheap with a minimum of drilling to get me through my weekly church gig. Frankly, I'm pretty amazed at how good this sounds for the price. No drilling at all, installation was a snap. I play at two different churches and it sounds great at both of them. Battery power so far has exceeded expectations. I charge it on Sunday morning. It's on for three hours between rehearsal and the service. We also rehearse on Wednesday evening. I don't charge up again but there's still plenty of juice left for a 90 minute session. I may just go ahead and buy another one of these to have as a spare "just in case," and save the money I'd planned to spend on the more expensive options.

Outstanding pickup at a great price!
Right out of the box this pickup sounds amazing! I didn’t make any adjustments at all, just turned it on, turned on the receiver and plugged it into my amp and started playing. There was no delay in the pickup connecting to the receiver, and the sound is not delayed whatsoever - every bit equivalent to a high quality cable (except no cable!). I’ll be playing it out at open mics this week, and am super excited about that. With the combination of the humbucking magnetic pickup and the built in condenser microphone, this thing reproduces all the tonal nuances of my Martin D-35 without any modifications to my guitar. It’s super snug in the sound hole, and it’s pretty small as well as low profile. I think it’s perfect, and well worth the modest price. While it is pretty easily removed to put in one of my other guitars, for the price I’m inclined to buy a couple more of these and just leave one in each instrument.

Works well so far. Read review.
Works well and pairs easily so far. A little challenge to install it with strings, you have to maneuver it carefully to get it on. I wouldn’t install it daily so I’m just leaving it installed. One thing the photos don’t show and I caught on a video is that it does have a small antenna that goes into the sound hole. If you ask, it says transmitter is all internal, but it’s not. It’s very small. I asked the seller and they confirmed it does have the sound hole antenna attached. However, very good communications with the seller. I appreciated that. Otherwise works well so far. Will leave it installed.

A good sounding, inexpensive pickup without drilling my Martin!
I am very pleasantly surprised. This pickup sounds much better than I'd expected, and didn't require any mods to my HD28. Wireless to boot, although it comes with a wired adapter if needed that can either be permanently installed in the strap peg hole (after drilling it to fit) or with a small wire hanging out the soundhole to a 1/4" female TS socket if you want it to be temporary. I've used it a couple times with the Church raise team and it sounded terrific. I'd say on par with a Taylor with built-in ES2 sound system. This ones EQ isn't as convenient to use while playing though, requiring a small philips-head screwdriver to make adjustments. The farthest apart the transmitter/receiver have been is about 60 feet, and there were not problems. I made a recording of a mediocre guitar player (me) trying to demo any differences between acoustic/unamplified vs wired/wireless with magneticPickup / Magnetic+internal mic etc. I hear no noticeable delay. Certainly no more than you'd have between a guitar and mic a couple feet away. I didn't attempt to adjust the EQ. If I'd been running through a mixer I'd clean it up around 130Hz. The onboard bass EQ might be able to handle that as well? I thought I had an issue with the tx/rx not talking the other day, but It turned out that they just needed to be repaired (as in "paired again"). I must have hit the tiny pair button by mistake while powering it on. The power led on the pickup is a bit bright, but a touch of tape over that will solve the problem if it gets on my nerves too much. Worth every penny in my opinion.

A great wireless option for a great price!
This arrived in fantastic packaging, with everything you need to set up the pickup however you want. I wanted to use the wireless feature, and the Bluetooth connected effortlessly. Installation was simple. Just slide it in place and gently tighten the screws to secure it. Easy on/easy off. Perfect. I first plugged it into a little amp at home, and it worked well. 2 days later, at church, I plugged it into my tuner pedal, which goes straight to the board (no amp). Once again, effortless connection. I was able to step down from the stage and into the seats to sound-check. Even being 20 or 30 feet from the receiver, the pickup sent a clear signal with no lag. 5 days later, I used the pickup at church camp. I plugged the receiver into a P.A./amp, and it connected instantly. I used it 4 different times with no need to recharge. Tone is tricky to talk about. It all depends on your guitar, effects, amp/PA, the room, etc. For me, this pickup does a great job of providing crispy attack, while the condenser mic blends well to provide warmer, more natural tones. I was impressed, especially considering its reasonable price. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

The wireless receiver does not take a charge.
The pickup worked fine, but battery does not last very long. The receiver worked until the battery dies, and it would’ve not take a charge when I tried to charge it. I didn’t use the wireless feature the first couple times that I used the pickup, but the first time I did try to use it, it dies quickly. When I plugged in the charger cord nothing happened. It did not charge, I never got an indicator light showing that it was charging, and it has not worked since because it has no charge in the battery. I would love to either return it for a refund if it hasn’t been too long, or somehow get a replacement wireless receiver so I can use that feature. I would not buy anything of this brand again

Good sound but a few downsides
I really want to love this thing but I'm still thinking whether to return it. Here are first impressions. I'll probably update the review later. General characteristics: The pickup-preamp unit has some weight, more than I expected. But then it does have a battery. It also has a short antenna wire that's not shown in the listing. Need to be careful when installing or removing. Not a big issue... just be aware. Installation: With strings installed I found the pickup-preamp unit rather tricky to mount and not drop it into the body. You need a small phillips screwdriver. The one supplied for tone adjustments is too small for the mounting screws. When I loosened those evenly, the pickup bar didn't want to sit level when tightened. And it wanted to tip downwards towards the sound hole slightly which prevented fretting from the 12th on up and made the E and B strings too loud. Eventually I tinkered it into a good position. Some of the leveling difficulty might be due to uneven wood around my soundhole. Forget about switching this to another guitar during a performance. If I decide to keep it I'll probably get a second one for my other guitar. Adjustment controls: POTENTIAL DEAL BREAKER. If I return the unit it will be because of this. The bass treble and mic tone controls can only be adjusted with a tiny screwdriver (provided). There is no visual or tactile indication of the position of these micro controls - boosted, cut, or neutral. Fine if you always play in the same room thru the same sound system. I'm not excited by the prospect of having to remember to take that very tiny screwdriver to a gig, remember to have it handy for soundcheck, tinker with it during soundcheck, and not lose it (which WILL happen sometime). The thumbwheel controls for volume and mic blend are easy to operate but feel slightly gritty. Charging: Only the included charging cable works for charging. They really should have provided two, even if it adds a bit to the price. They say to use a regular phone charger but the cable is USB A to USB C. If you have a charger with an A port you're good. Otherwise you gotta get one. The receiver came fully charged. The preamp didn't so be sure both are charged before using the first time. As I said, installing the pickup with strings on the guitar is tricky. That applies if you want to pop it off to charge it. Not really practical, so you have to put the guitar case or stand near an outlet and charge it mounted on the guitar. But cable length is good - around 6 feet. Miscellaneous: Instructions have microscopic print and are not very well structured or very detailed. Might be an issue for some. Pairing was seamless and fast. Connection was still good at 30 feet. Receiver fit the tight space between my audio interface's inputs - nice. Sound: Tested with a practice amp and in my recording studio. This sounds far better than any under saddle piezo I ever heard. No contest. For live performance I doubt there's any better sounding pickup at this price. If it's reliable in a stage environment it could be a true gem. Too soon to tell. The recorded sound is OK for some things. But with good mics, or when just played unplugged, the unit definitely affects what comes out of the sound hole. In my case it noticeably affects the low end. I'll uninstall it when I need to use mics. Bottom line: Given the sound this delivers for the price, I think I can probably live with the downsides.

Wow ! Quality pickup.
The X2 had some great reviews so I thought I would find out for myself and to be frank , I'm really impressed , not just for the price but how it delivers. Fantastic tone and responsiveness and the onboard mic blend really does add to the mag pickup . Non invasive fitting which is a massive plus , Ive used it loads over the last few days and still haven't had to charge it. I plan to swap out and try it on a few of my other non electric acoustics and I'm fairly certain Ill be buying at least another one if not two more. Buy with confidence.
