Russell Hobbs Darwin Kettle, 1.7 L, 2200 W - Cream

Nothing to dislike.so very pleased with it.

Great kettle and great service from the seller. The kettle is a basic one, meaning that it boils and switches off automatically and that's it. It does however boil extremely fast. The lid is a touch fiddly as there's no push button to release it, you have give it a slight yank and it's open. Also you cannot stop the kettle from boiling by pressing the on/off, you have to take it off the base or let it boil till the end. Nevertheless a nice looking kettle. We got the cream one which is more like a very delicate butter colour more than cream but that's just my perception.

Needed a new kettle as a supermarkets own brand had given up rather quickly. This was a reasonable price for a known name make (which I was very much looking for this time) Perhaps it's one down side, or point of note, is that there is no button opening for the lid, but manually opening does allow it to fully open, and so makes it possible to get the whole kettle directly under the tap, rather than angled underneath. Makes it much easier to see how much water you have put in. Boils quick enough for me. A slightly lightweight feel to this apparently all plastic kettle. Time will tell if it lasts, but impressed enough for the money so far.

Bought as an urgent buy when my kettle went kaput. I was amazed at the price. Expected cheap looking plastic to use til I bought a proper one but it is really good. Has a massive capacity and is still really light. Don't be put off by the thin base. It actually is very sturdy and boils very fast. I haven't replaced it with a 'better one . That's how impressed I am.

I brought this because I wanted to get rid of my black kettle to brighten the kitchen up. This was a good make kettle at a very low cost.Well when I took it out of the box I thought it was a hotel kettle. The style looks very cheap, the hold feels cheap and overall it's just not Overly fabulous. Don't get me wrong for the job of boiling water it does do the job but slightly slower than previous kettles. There is no switch it's a push button underneath the handle so it's not designed in the most practical of ways.I'm still using it as it does work and does the job but I can't see it staying in the kitchen very long as it looks very cheap and doesn't do the brand name much justice.

I liked the fact you can see easily see the water level. The design is superb as far as I'm concerned. Love the widelid. I've since bought another two, one for my daughter and one for me to keep in the cupboard for future! Very reasonably priced. The only slight thing is the mesh filter to collect the scale is a little flimsy.

It was very low quality and blew up after 3 months. The sound of it exploding was like a gun going off.A total waste of money.

Lovely kettle.Feels nice to pick up (with my dislocating fingers and wrist) easy in my hand to pour.. good thick handle..top marks!Feels quite compact.. think its the red.. its a beautiful red.... boils water perfectly.. i like the push in button style switch rather thank a flicky one..nice.I really like my kettle its filled at least 6 hot bottles for pain relief since it was delivered today...i could do with 2 more...for other rooms and one for tea.. I'd like another red one and a black one. Im going to put them on my wish list now :-)
