Not all features work and noticed problems after a few months
First of all, first headset I've used on a bike and I was generally happy at first. My mate bought a pair for us to use on ride from Midlands to Ilfracombe. Battery lasted all the way there and back and still had plenty of juice. Since that ride I've tried to use the VOX and speed dial features, neither work. When using VOX, it simply says "not available". Tried updating firmware and using the app to no avail. The 3-click speed dial doesn't work; click 3 times and nothing happens at all. After having the units for a couple of months we noticed that range wasn't as good. No idea why that should change! We noticed the intercom breaking up after more than 50m apart. Also, the intercom keeps randomly turning off even when we're next to each other. Tried rebooting the unit to no avail, it would just randomly come back on.On the plus side, the clarity of sound is ok. The radio and music playback work well. We had no issue setting up and pairing the devices.Update...The app now says there's a new firmware (v3.6). Originally, I updated the firmware by going to community.cardosystems.com, it worked effortlessly. Now, however, it tells you to download a desktop app. I did that but it wouldn't detect my device. I went back to the community website which told me I had the latest version (v3.2). With all the different apps, updaters and websites it's clear Cardo are getting different people to write new software everytime a new device comes out which means older devices aren't being supported.

the worse intercom units I had so far
I'm really angry with scala rider recent purchases. Over a year ago I got Q1 unit which just started to have problems with turning on, sometimes I got lucky - most often not. Last month I bought Freecom 2 duo unfortunately and problems again. Firmware very old, needed updating, one mike broken, sticky mount very weak, fell off the helmet, intercom voice activated connection is "eating" first word etc. No more scala rider devices for me.
