Reliable-Worth every penny.
I really like this generator. It started immediately every time I needed it. I have two 200AMP panels so I am fortunate to be able to use both the 50 and 30 AMP connections at the same time. When needed, within minuets all of the essential items in my house has power. It sure was nice to have central AC when it was in the 90s during a power outage.

Best bang for your buck!
If you're looking for a generator to power your entire (smaller sized) house without annihilating your wallet, this is the generator you're looking for. Our 1400 ft^2 home is easily powered by the generator, including our AC (no soft start), well pump, and all 120V circuits at once. Of course every single home is different, but if you're asking yourself, "can this generator run my AC?" like I was, the answer is YES. I can't advise on how you wire it in, but just know from someone who knew nothing about electrical before taking a deep dive with this generator, this is the one you want. We plan to permanently affix this generator outside as an affordable whole house backup generator running on propane. Some general pros: - High quality construction, durable powder coating on everything - Easy to follow setup instructions - All necessary parts, including oil, to get up and running are included - Remote start is great - THD is less than 5%, which means a smoother sine wave of power output, saving your sensitive devices - Being able to easily switch between gasoline, propane, and natural gas is fantastic - LED display screen provides lots of nice data - Plenty of built in outlets if you need those Some cons: - This is not the generator's fault, but it's VERY loud - Very hard to find the correct spark plug, the NGK BP7ES, when replacement or first service time comes because they're discontinued - LED display doesn't always keep up with total machine operating hours My best recommendations would be to go ahead and get the NGK BP7ES plug installed (you can still find them on eBay) installed at your 25 hour service, along with an oil change, filter clean, as well as installing a magnetic dipstick and drain plug. If you're in the market for a first generator with some bark to it, this thing is for you!

This thing is a beast. Keeps our home up and running during power falures.
We're in North Texas where we get really weird weather at times. You might have heard, we had a big ice storm a couple years ago when the grid failed for several days and a lot of people didn't make it. We had the another Westinghouse generator at the time. I cannot say enough good things about this generator. I got this to replace a dual fuel Westinghouse that worked equally amazing. We have had to run on generator power for days at a time. I just wanted to be able to connect it to our home gas outlet on the patio. We are in an area that looses power for a while at least once a year. Our home is about 3000 sf with 2 HVAC units, a pool, 2 deep freezers, a side by side, 3 mini fridges, an electric range, several computers (we work from home) and lots of exterior lighting. I mention all of this to give you an idea of the load we put on this generator. I have a 1/2" gas line hose that is 20' feet in length connected to a Y quick connect connection from our patio. The other line goes to our gas grill. I show all of this in the pictures. I wish somebody would have posted this kind of information when I was trying to figure it all out. Bottom line is, this Westinghouse generator keeps us up and running and doesn't miss a beat. I plug it up, start it up and let it run for a couple minutes to get warmed up, hit the interlock on the breaker panel and flip the breaker up on the generator and we are online. My wife was doing laundry, we had the tv on, all of the lights on, AC running and I was frying chicken while the rest of the neighborhood was dark. This thing is a workhorse. It is heavy but it's on wheels an has a handle that folds down. I have a outdoor running cover for it so it can run in the rain or snow. You don't get as much power as you do with propane, which doesn't produce as much power as gasoline. I find for our needs, natural gas with this beast is enough and we don't have to mess with smelly gasoline or refill propane tanks. Also, it runs much much cleaner than with gasoline. I really don't smell any exhaust. Yes it keep it away from windows and doors and we do have Co2 detectors in our home for safety year round. The unit also has automatic Co2 shutoff. When not in use, I keep it in a little small shed that I will eventually convert to a generator shed. I keep it plugged in with the supplied power adapter to keep the battery fully charged. You can add an automatic transfer switch as it has support and connections for one. Several of our neighbors are now looking to purchase one because being without electricity really is hard. Now, go and order one for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Best purchase as a Houstonian.
Moved to Houston and told my wife that I felt like we needed a generator. After doing tons of research I finally landed on this generator and it has been an absolute godsend. I personally have been affected by the last two major power outages for hurricane barrel and for the tornado that hit the northwestern Houston area. Both times has left us without power for days. The second time around I was ready with this guy and it was a night and day difference on my quality of life and my overall feeling of confidence that I had going into the situation. This generator was easy to use and even my wife could start it. My previous generator did not have a remote start like this one did and my wife was unable to use the pull start in order to get it started so if I was gone she would be on her own this gave me the Peace of mind that I needed desperately in a time of disaster. This generator is beautifully made and absolutely sturdy. I am able to run my entire house off of this one generator without AC or I can run my AC without the rest of the house being powered with a 5 ton AC unit. 100% one of the best purchases I've ever made. If you're on the fence get it. One of the best things about this generator is that it has the highest output of any natural gas portable generator there is with the exception of one that cost $1,000 more and only puts out 500 extra Watts which is not worth it. It is a pound-for-pound champion. Thank you Westinghouse! As far as noise levels go this thing is much quieter on natural gas than it is on full gas. My recommendation is that if you wanted to be ready you could have four propane tanks a natural gas connection and a full tank of gas and you should be able to take care of everything with smooth operations.

Economical choice
I have a whole house generator, but my Mother in law does not. She is beginning to have age related issues and this past year when her power was off for several days she came to stay with family members who had power as she has done in the past. The change of a different house proved difficult for her to cope with so we went looking for a way to keep her in her house with my sister in law when the power goes out. In order to get around the fuel storage issues, I looked for a model that was both big enough to pretty much run the house while also able to run on NG so we could just run a line from the regulator. After doing some research and talking to friends we decided to get the Westinghouse (WGen11500TFc) and so far have been happy with it. The box arrived undamaged and after unpacking I had everything I needed to start setting it up. I was glad that it came with extra oil because I don't think there is a way to add anything without spilling so if you are reading this remember to put something under the oil fill opening to reduce mess. Once I got the fuel line connected, I had difficulty starting the engine the first time because I forgot the manual choke. Went back and re-read the guide, closed the choke, and she started right up. Disconnecting and storing the generator was easy and the built in handles to move it wheelbarrow style made the whole exercise a one man job. The only down side is that if an impending storm is coming, either myself or one of my brother in laws will have to set up the generator so that it is ready to go and then HOPE that my sister in law remembers the instructions for placing it into operation. The Remote control is a very nice touch for this scenario, but she will still have to start the generator and then do a manual transfer on the breaker box to get it working. Still, for under $2000 all-in, we have a reliable power source for the house that will let my Mother in Law stay where she is most comfortable and still be able to watch TV, have A/C, etc. A whole home system would cost close to 6 times that number and that isn't in the budget.

Tri fuel and much cleaner power than the average generator.
Best deal going for a tri fuel generator in this power range. Super clean power (Low THD) without having to pay the higher price for an inverter generator. I just went through 74hrs without power and this generator was awesome. Ran on natural gas so I never had to go out and buy fuel. I did have to do two oil changes though (25hrs and again at 75hrs) but that's the correct maintenance to do on any generator. It's nice to have the option of running on gasoline, propane or natural gas. This is my 2nd Westinghouse generator. The other is a iGen2500 for small loads and it has be awesome also. I 100% recommend Westinghouse generators.

Tri-fuel 50A generator whole home power
Well packaged. Pretty easy assembly for 1 person with moderate strength. You can lift the unit up and then put something under the frame to hold it up until no-flat wheels and stabilizers are installed. Both easy to mount on thevframe with furnished wrenches and hardware. Fill it with 10W 30 4 stroke small engine oil using angled oil funnel (both furnished). Connect the battery cables then supply it with whatever fuel source, which this one is a tri-fuel so it can be run using gas, liquid propane (LPG hose included) or natural gas (bought separately) and it's ready to start with remote key fob electric start but it has a backup fly wheel pull start cord as well. Handle is sturdy and you can maneuver the unit kind of like a wheel barrel with 2 front wheels. Looks very well built. I will be ready if another ice storm hits!
