Perfect for a gun safe.
I live in a high humidity state and the desiccant beads work perfectly in my gun safe. The beads change color as described.I recharge the beads once a month in the oven.It takes longer in the oven however, I get better results than using the microwave.

Great for keeping 3D Print filament dry in their holders. But don't over-heat when renewing them
I do wish they had made more prominent that above 170F, the indicator ink discolors darkly. Which is what happened after I microwaved them for 20 minutes on 100%. They still work though, and do change color some, just not as much. So just microwave them on 50% or less for 5 minutes or so, let them cool a bit, then do that again. Also, USE A PYREX GLASS BOWL OR PAN! Those work great. Then I used a non-Pyrex, and right at about 4 minutes, it shattered in the microwave, into about for five big pie shaped pieces. Not too many slivers, so the beads were still OK, LOL!

Works as expected wish the rehydration was a bit better
Overall, I’m happy with these desiccant beads for keeping my 3D filament dry and protected from moisture.Pros:- Effective Moisture Absorption: The beads work well in absorbing moisture and maintaining a dry environment, especially for sensitive items like 3D filament.- Color Indicator: The orange indicating beads make it easy to tell when the desiccant has absorbed moisture and needs to be recharged.- Generous Quantity: The 2.4-pound container is a great value and provides plenty of beads to cover larger spaces or multiple containers.Cons:- Rehydration Performance: While the beads are advertised as rechargeable, I found that the rehydration process is not as effective as I had hoped. After recharging them, they don’t seem to perform quite as well as when they were first used.Despite the slight issue with rehydration, these desiccant beads are still a solid option for moisture control, particularly for 3D filament storage or other sensitive materials.

Good desiccant
These work just as you'd expect.

Works great for 3D printing
I used this in some add-on desiccant holders for a Bambu Lab AMS. Dropped the humidity down below where my hygrometer could measure it (< 10%) rapidly. Since it can be 'recharged' this was more of an investment than an expense. Great product!

This is the one you want.
Tried others and this is the one that worked best. Gun safe with the other blue product was 45%. Switched to this and BOOM!! 36% over night, been rock solid there for 4 days. Will monitor it and report back when I have to give it it's 1st recharge.

Weight includes container - not 6.5lbs. 6lbs nett like others
I am subtracting 2 stars because of inaccurate description. I was puzzled by the odd weights from this company since others are rounded numbers. As can be seen the entire gallon container plus the silica gel weighs 6.5lbs, so its impossible the nett weight of the silica themselves is 6.5lbs.Still, its economical enough, and the gel themselves look legit enough... plus they gave free pouches for you to split them into smaller units for use. Also, as the product is heavy, I don't want to add more energy wasted in the return. So I will be keeping this to see how it performs.Considering each pound works out to be $4.50, losing 0.5lbs to container weight (a gallon container like that look like its probably 0.5lbs), you're losing about $2, so its about the same price as the competitors. Even if they stated 6lbs nett weight, they are still competitively priced. So I just wonder why they didn't.
