Well made !
Very well made and seems very sturdy and strong. The only problem that i had was the cartridge bolts that hold the actual wheel. The square heads tenons on the bolts stripped in the square holes. I just bought a couple more lock nuts to keep them from turning and all was fine

Heavy-duty
Works great on my Tracker Bass boat. Easy install + heavy duty. Mounts in such way to keep tire out of the way when I pull boat up onto trailer. Great product.

All stainless steel, good construction, but thin material
We mounted this tire carrier on a utility trailer with a 3" square tube frame and it bolted up easily using the supplied hardware - although we added four more stainless flat washers under the heads of the bolts to keep the hex heads from gouging into the powdercoated finish when tightening them. The mounting bolts are long, and you might consider cutting the extra off once installed if mounting it on narrow frame widths. The carriage head bolts that hold the spare tire are a nice feature - you only need one wrench to install/remove the spare. But the kit only came with 1 set of nyloc nuts for these bolts (to hold the spare on), which means you need to hold the bolts from falling out when removing the spare. Again, we bought an extra set of oversized flat washers to fit over the square shafts that protrude from the thin mounting plate and a set of stainless nyloc nuts to secure the bolts to the mount first, then mounted the spare with the supplied flat washers, lock washers, and nyloc nuts. With a steel wheel, there was still enough bolt sticking out that we were able to drill a hole through one of the bolts and install a padlock to prevent one nut from being removed. The mount and backing plate are stainless steel that has been laser or waterjet cut with super precision (not die stamped) and appears to be robotic or laser welded - the welds are nearly perfect. The powder-coated finish is smooth and even - almost a shame they are coated, it would be nice to see the bare stainless, or even polish it to a mirror finish! The hardware is 300 series stainless - totally non-magnetic - so there is no risk of rust or corrosion if using this mount on a trailer used near salt water, or in snowy areas with salted roads in the winter. The multiple mounting holes allow for a minimum of 2-1/2" to maximum 5-5/8" tall frames. Although on standard 3" or 4" frames, there is a gap to the bottom bolts, which leaves a chance the mount could rotate a bit if the tire is knocked hard enough.Overall. this is a great spare tire mount right out of the box, especially being all stainless at this price point. The only criticisms are the thin material used for the mount and backing plates. It is really easy to bend these if the mounting bolts are overtightened... which is very easy to do with the gap between the frame and lower bolts as mentioned earlier. If these plates had been made a couple mms thicker, this would be a bullet-proof mount. Also, the lack of washers and nuts to secure the carriage bolts to the mount, having one of the mounting bolts pre-drilled for a lock, and having four extra flat washers under the heads of the mounting bolts would be nice additions to this kit.

Very easy to install
This item was very easy to install on my aluminum trailer. It allowed me to carry my spare on the trailer instead in the back of my explorer while on longer trips. The mount is very sturdy and fit my 15" tire and rim. it was nicely powdered coated so I know it will stand up to the salty environment here in the north.

Easy Bolt-On
Easy bolt-on spare tire mount. In less than 1 hour you can bolt this well-built and designed spare tire mount on your trailer frame and have a secured spare tire installed.

Easy to install
I ordered this for my trailer because I wanted to carry a spare tire with my trailer so if I have a flat tire I’m covered and so far it’s been great at holding the tire I like that it’s easy to install and it’s easy to move if neededMetal seems a little thin for me but so far it’s working. Would recommend if you don’t have a tire carrier for your trailer

Spare tire mount
I got this to the mountain to the middle of my truck bed at an angle to put my spare tire on that way I still have room in the bed too put Cargo in but I also have a spare with me and I'll tell you what this thing is pretty damn f****** heavy duty. They arrived on time and well packaged with everything in the box ready to pretty much Mount your tire too. It's super easy to install this thing you literally just drill your four holes pop them and throw the nuts and bolts in there and you're ready to rock and roll. You pretty much will throw your tire on her and ready to rock and roll. Overall if you need some sort of spare tire mounting like a truck or a trailer or something like that I highly recommend this thing cuz it's worth the price and it's really affordable and it gets the job done

Fit my Camper
I recently left a gas station at an area where the departure angle was a bit more than I thought and caught my rear bumper mounted spare on the ground an bend the bracket. Since that bracket was bent in several places I decided to try this one as a replacement. As the photographs show, the spare tire bracket is mounted on the trailer's rear bumper. The hardware in this kit fit with no problems. The bracket itself had opening to accommodate the six lug 5.5in pattern of my spare. The mount feels solid.I have included a picture that compare the OEM mount with this replacement. The steel on the OEM mount was 5.5mm thick. The steel on this mount is 4mm thick. The bracket arm is shorter and I don't think the thinner material will be an issue.Likes:-Ease of install. All of the hardware fit.-Powder coated finish. I like this better than the painted finish of the OEM bracket.-Mount feels solidDislikes:-The lug bolts are not captive, meaning that when the lug nut is taken off the bolt will slide back in the hole. That made mounting the tire a bit of a pain because I had to hold the tire with one hand and hold the back of the bolt with the other. The OEM bracket had a fastener of the lug bolts to hold them in place. I will be adding a similar fastener to these.Note - I started to make this one a dislike but given the universal fit nature of this bracket I am just making if a note. For my application the lug bolts were long enough that I had to use a deep well socket to tighten the nuts. I normally use a lugnut socket set that has a semi-deep well length but that wasn't long enough to handle these. I may either replace the bolts with shorter ones or cut them shorter.Overall I am happy with the product. The mount feels solid and the bracket itself should be plenty strong to hold the spare. And next time I will watch my departure angles more closely.
