Hello … it depends on the shape of the fort, and the size of your children. My 3 1/2 year olds fit inside of the forts we made together with lots of extra space. Each stick is about 15 inches. My recommendation would be to buy one and let them be creative with it. If you think after playing with it an building it is not enough then buy a second. Hope that helps!
