I thought it was really difficult to put together, and I have put together a lot of Ikea stuff. Also when we put it up high enough that we could use it as a backrest, it just kind of ended up looking a little dorky. Not as nice looking as what was in the picture when we ordered it

I had to be creative, it is made to fail, should have a wooden reinforcement inside the pads, the most important screws are, following instructions to the DOT, impossible to put in place, the ones on top means nothing, they hold to the fabric only and the screws that are supposed to be exact for one plastic expansion or another of the two different provided, are not holding the ones on top at all, they came out, they are not wide enough and they are the only ones you can use, it is a disaster, the top, without any weight since I had to use an L on the wall (not provided) to hold the bottom of the contraction holds all the weight but still they get loose from the wall on top.... 8 Screws and 8 holes in the wall for NOTHING plus the mess of holes at the bottom holding all. FINAL NOTE: MAKE SURE OF WHAT YOU BUY there is a cheaper version that has no shelf, both advertised together and with only one instructional book for both, full of adhesive pads covering what is not on the one you buy, this one has just the glass, but there is nothing explained about it, I had to reverse the LED's because they go in a place that hits your face when you lie down, cosmetic change but I put the LED's on top and it is pleasant now but to run the cables to the power was a REAL PAIN, it would be one way or another, trust me, they run by the inside...

I loved it, it was very easy to put together.

It's not bad for a price you pay. There are little imperfections, such as the stitches not very straight and the light strips come off easily, but in general it is a good looking headboard. I just used double sided tape for the light strips.
