Maison AlhambraAnchor Black Eau de Parfum Spray for Men, 3.4 Ounce

This fragrance is Maison Alhambra's duplicate of Lalique's Encre Noir. It is very close to the OG scent in my opinion, even though the "notes" listed don't make them seem like the same family of fragrance. This is a woody/cedar-y cologne but without the sweetness that comes with Oud. Think of it as a dry white wine compared to the Oaky sweetness of a Chardonnay. Like the smell of sawdust on the wood shop floor. I don't get leather from the fragrance, but I see why folks might say that. At the moment, Anchor Black is around the same price as Encre Noir on the discount perfume sites, but about $10 cheaper per bottle if purchased through Amazon. Either is a great deal in terms of a minimalist fragrance. But to get the value of a ":great deal" you have to like the underlying concept. In this case it isn't a super noisy/busy frag. Perfect for me though. Five stars

Amazing kind of powdery smell that last an extremely long time. I bought two bottles.

Kinda has that floral funeral home smell and it catches you in waves, dark at yet mysterious perfect for Doctor Death.

It’s made for old men. Smells like black leather. Not for young people like me.

Lasts a long time. Projection is great too. For 15 bucks you can't beat it. Don't mind the review that mentions leather. This has absolutely no leather in it. Vetiver is the main player in this fragrance. Smells very proper to me.

I am so in ove with this one.. I have the entire range of Alhambra and this is one of my top 5.

I like this house of MA, but this was a pass for me. The scent is very low key and no projection, very faint smell…not recommend.

The lasting power and dry down is spectacular!!
