They have an elasticated waist with string to tighten. They have a netted material inside. These were a good fit on my 3-year-old and the material feels nice. They also have the built-in pants which I always think is nice. He loves the Avengers characters and symbols on them so is also willing to swim again as he had gone off the all-in one Batman suit he had previously worn!
