They do not come ready to plug in. Be prepared o wire on a pigtail to hook them up.
I was a bit skeptical that these lights were to going to at least perform as well as the florescent they were replacing. We got them installed, and oh my!. They are bright, coverage area per light is really good, and the light spectrum they put out it much more pleasing than the fluorescent. Also, these lights seem very well built and sturdy.
