where do I find the message box for engraving . Is it after I put in my card details

No it should be before but, if you cannot see the gift message box the engraving can be sent in an e-mail through contact seller.

I put my message to be engraved in the message section as i purchased the box, do i need to do anything else?

Hi,You put your text in the right place. However, you've put too much. We state that you can use 15 characters on each of 3 lines. We can stretch this t0 4 lines but the font would be too small if we engraved your full message. Please revise your text and either reply to this message or use the contact seller button on Amazon.
