Lion Brand YarnIce Cream Big Scoop Yarn, Lemon Meringue

I have used Lion Brand Yarn for many projects including this baby blanket using Lion Brand #922-203 Ice Cream Big Scoop Yarn in Blueberry. The yarn is easy to work with, beautiful shades of variegated colors of blue, soft, and washes and dries well. I normally wash in a laundry bag or pillow case to prevent pilling, but it holds its shape and makes a nice presentation. I would highly recommend this product. It also comes in strawberry and other colors too! Only one of these is needed to complete this blanket. Approx. size: 32" x 36"

I was able to make 5 beanies out of this yarn. Although it is meant for baby blankets, it's so soft it's perfect for making beanies for chemo patients. I was also able to solve the tangling issue I had the first time I used a skein of this yarn. I pulled the yarn from the outside of the skein, and it remained tangle free until I'd finished the 5th hat. At that point, I rolled the rest into a ball and did not encounter any tangles at all! It's great yarn!

Do I ever love this yarn. It has a lovely slightly irregular, divine colors and truly are yarns that knit up to delicious little things. For me, knitting is all about baby hat knitting. I love that there are colors within a skein that are very "girly" and very "boys". Look through my reviews to see what others I keep buying. Yarns are in pinks/purples or blues with a little yellow or green also. I do not buy "girl " colored skeins that have any blue in them. I also do not buy any "boy" yarns that have pink or purple in them. There are many yarns in the Lion Brand yarn colors in the Ice Cream line of products that fill this purpose. Thanks to Lion Brand for offering my new knitting addiction yarns!

I love this yarn!!I just ordered more recently.Here is a baby blanket I made with just one skein. I used one skein of yarn to make the blanket and also the hat. See picture I have attached.The yarn is so soft, and the colors are so wonderful for a baby. Very pleased with my purchase!

Very quick shipment. Arrived a day early!It's not the softest, but it does feel sturdy. I plan on making a baby blanket that will hopefully be with the little one for years.The color I purchased was Parfait.

I bought this to make a blanket for a baby due later in the fall. It has a super soft and cozy feel and will be great for a little one.

This yarn is so soft and great for a baby blanket. It stripes pretty nicely. The color transitions aren't too drastic either. The yarn is thinner than I would've liked but it works. I'm tempted to get this in other colors now.

This yarn is soft, and the variegated colors are great for a baby of unknown gender. But the texture is uneven. It thins unexpectedly, making the stitches uneven. I’ve only finished 7 rows of the blanket I’m making, and it has already happened a number of times. I wouldn’t purchase it again, and I’m just hoping the blanket will be sturdy enough.

Love the texture and softness to knit any item but I am knitting a cardigan .
