Excellent chain
Although this is a boat chain, we used it for our gate chain! It was a bit long for that, so my fiancé was able to cut it shorter to fit out needs. But we loved that is had the adjuster to slide around whatever you wanted to connect it to. So it will never fall off of our gate!Would recommend!!

Well made chain
Perfect length and weight, even for my small 14' aluminum boat. Seems well made and should last a lifetime.

Super heavy duty, marine grade
This is an excellent quality, heavy duty chain that can function as so much more than an anchor chain. Although we do have a sunfish we are refurbishing which will eventually need an anchor chain, we are currently using this on a pasture fence on our little farm. We have very curious goats who have escaped from fences with inadequate chain locks. This chain is definitely strong enough to keep them inside. I love that it's made with marine grade stainless steel. We get a lot of rain and live near the ocean so everything gets a fair coating of salt and is subject to rust spots. We've had this chain for a month or so and it's holding up much better to the elements than other similar chains we've purchased.

Perfect for lakes and ponds
Perfect anchor chain for lakes and ponds. Heavy duty enough for rocky bottoms or trees and such. I use it with my kayak and the weight of the chain is probably enough to use alone for most situations. Links are well made and I don’t see any flaws. I will be getting a second for my other kayak.

NOT Double-Threaded. It does seem like a good anchor chain otherwise.
A big selling point of this anchor chain for me was the double-threaded shackles. That was false advertising unfortunately. Upon unscrewing one end to install onto my anchor, I found it's a shoulder pin with a threaded end, so it's actually SINGLE THREAD.As a result, I don't recommend this to be used without waterproof thread locker and ample torque on the pin. It loosens very easily being a single threaded shackle. It'd feel pretty silly losing a $100+ anchor trying to save $10-20 on your anchor chain. The chain itself does seem like 316 Stainless Steel and does measure 1/4" at the chain links. It's pretty strong as a chain if you do not consider the shackle downfall. I will be applying red thread locker and torquing this down considerably. As an alternative, I may use it doubled over into 2.5ft and tying rope to the ending chain links if I cannot tighten it down appropriately.

Excellent quality anchor chain
I recently received this boat anchor chain, and I must say I'm impressed. I was not expecting such a thick durable chain, I have a 18' boat that had a 3/16 chain for the anchor. This chain is 5/16. My old chain did not stand up to the saltwater very well at all. This size chain will be even better for securing my anchor with the needed weight to make the anchor bite the ground well and hold it secure. The 2 stainless steel shackles added to the durability and use of the chain. The shackles made attaching the chain to the anchor and the rope easy.I would highly recommend this anchor chain to anyone looking to upgrade their current chain.
