Perfect replacement for my Maytag Gemini Electric 30 in
Perfect replacement for my Maytag Gemini Electric 30 in. Double Oven Free Standing Range: MER6770AAC. The upper oven top broiler element had stopped working. I tested the old one with a multimeter and it appeared to work - not shorted. But when I plugged in the new one, the broiler capability was immediately back. Perfect! WARNING: Do follow the instructions and either shut off the breaker in the electrical panel or unplug the oven. I kind of skipped that and got a big flash of sparks in my face when working toward the back of the upper oven. Luckily, no damage or injury, but UNPLUG OR SHUT OFF THE BREAKER! It's not a joke!

Watch out! It gets hot
Hard to say too much about this.. the picture is a little deceiving.. there are little steel caps near the ends where it connects to screw it into the back of the stove wall.. just like the one I removed.On first heating it smokes and smells bad for about 15 minutes.. I just left the oven and the windows open.. after that it works just fine. Longevity so far is about 3 weeks.
