I have thin Asian hair that’s been getting finer once I entered my early to mid 40s. I wash 2–3 times a week, and this powder really helps add grit and volume at the roots. It’s super strong — you only need a tiny bit sprinkled right at the roots and then worked in with your fingertips. If you use too much, it can feel heavy or tacky, so less is definitely more. Compared to other texturizing powders I’ve used (like Powder Play, which usually costs $20–24 for the same size, and the pump used to get clogged), this is a fantastic value. It gives my flat, slippery strands that extra lift they desperately need without breaking the bank. One thing to know: because it’s so powerful, I sometimes need to double or even triple-shampoo to get it all out, especially if I’ve layered it on (I’ve tried various shampoos so will see if a better clarifying shampoo will do the trick). Not a dealbreaker for me — the volume boost is worth the extra rinse — but something to keep in mind. I also keep Acure dry shampoo around when my hair gets greasy but i dont need grit and more product on it. ✅ Bottom line: If you have fine, thinning hair (especially Asian hair like mine that tends to go flat easily), this is an affordable product that really works. Start small — a little goes a long way! Already ordered my 3rd bottle and it won’t be my last.

Ok, I'm an ex hair stylist and was wondering what the results would be on my thinning, med short, curly hair. For less than $10 I figured I would try it. ❤️ Yes! All the reviews said only use a tiny bit. I needed more than that. I tried it on my fingers but shaking it directly on my roots worked better. It acquired a grip that gave my hair a hold that's hard to describe. It lifted my curls and kind of fluffed it up. Thru the day I scrunched it off and on to revamp. Reviews also said it was hard to wash out. I got my hair wet in the shower that 1st night and I was expecting it to get gummy but it was totally fine. Seems like it just rinsed out with water. One person suggested adding to styling cream and putting on wet hair. Before bed I tried that. It was very mildly textured in the morning and I added a bit more. Looks great! (My roommate didn't know I styled it differently and I actually got a complement!) No smell and not messy. The bottle is so small! I hope it lasts. I'll definitely buy it again. You can move and move and move your hair around, as many times as you want, after you've added the powder to your hair - throughout the day. This stuff never stops... not even overnight. Its amazing! The only way to get it to quit? SHAMPOO with a good shampoo! It will only wash out with a good shampoo. Stuff works like a charm and just keeps on giving. Worth every penny. Its a white powder, but quickly dissipates when moved around/mixed into hair. You can't tell its there. It will leave your hair feeling a bit dry/gritty when you try to run your fingers through it, so don't put your fingers in it. This is NOT like a gel. A great product. Highly recommend.

This product was recommended by a friend for making my hair look fuller. It works very well on my thinning hair; gives it lots of volume. It does have a slight stiffness/stickiness (hard to describe) at the root, but it's worth it for the results.

When I pulled it out of the package, it looked like it had already been opened, the little part on the bottom that’s ripped was from me, but the lid on the box was up and the lid on the bottle looked like it got put back on crooked. I’m a little hesitant, but I think I’m still going to use it, I was just wondering if anyone else had this type of issue?

Great product and very affordable option if you're unsure about trying something like this. I like to sprinkle a tiny bit at the root and rub it in. Sometimes I also add it to the root of my ponytail for added volume. I would only use this on the root, and try to use it strategically instead of all over your head. The texture is NOT pleasant (which is normal for these volume powders). For that reason, I usually don't use this on fresh clean hair, unless I'm intentionally styling it for an event. Pro: It provides really good grip when using hair clips or doing any kind of updo (esp if you have silkier hair). It also adds nice volume when I curl/tease my hair. I also don't find it makes my hair look that dirty/greasy, with often happens with products you apply to the root. Con is obvious that the texture doesn't feel nice and it can be hard to wash out. You also have to be delicate brushing your hair as the product makes you hair kinda stick to it more.

This stuff is brilliant if you have thin hair and want to style it. It really does add volume and texture. It takes some getting used to as it adds a feel to hair that I can't describe - almost knotting. But it's great for styling.
