KALIMEX QUICK TAPE BLACK

Having seen this and similar products advertised bothon TV and in stores, I thought that I would give it a tryto see if it lived up to the adverts and my needs.It is very good and should not be confused with verybasic insulating tapes, which can become somewhatsticky and become unravelled as they dry out.Unlike ordinary tapes, QuikTape actually bonds withitself and needs to be overlapped by about half thewidth of the preceeding lap and in doing so createsa chemical reaction to bond. So no loose ends tounravel.I have used it to create tool grips, repair minor nicksin electrical wires, and for a small water tight repairto an S bend all with good results.It is as some reviewers have stated, expensive, butit does work and can save you having to replace aworn part and therefore even more expense.Well worth giving it a go.

Purchased to repair hairline crack on the rubber pipe connecting a pressure washer to its lance.They market it as "Extreme"... the only thing that is extreme about this is how utterly useless the product is!After my first repair, water just ripped through the bands of silicone tape I had wrapped round the pipe. So on my second repair attempt, I went over the crack with many many layers of tape... until it ran out. When I put turned on the water supply, the repair simply swelled up (Try visualising a balloon inflating and stretching) until it burst again. Waste of 8 quid and my time!

A water hose on our fork lift had small hole new pipe was over a hundred pounds so went for tape.. First time with in hours it was leaking.spent over an hour dismantling used second roll no better. Total waste of time and money

I applied the tape as instructed to my garden hose pipe but when I turned the water on a while later the pressure just blew it into a bubble and burst the tape completely. I certainly wouldn't want to risk using it on anything more important.

Does exactly what it says.Easy to use (no stickiness or pre-wetting).Self-bonds easily.Stops leaks effectively.Excellent product.satisfied

this is a brilliant product does exactly what it says, easy to use highly reccommended. bought this for my mum who had a leak on a bathroom tap, worked straight away, will buy more

Very good - does as stated - very easy to apply very quickly stop those nightmare drips without the need for calling for a plumber
