Works well. Well priced. I won’t be using it often so the extra cost for the LL version was not worth it. I’m using Energizer non-rechargeable Lithium (not Alkaline) batteries that cost more but last longer, and keep a spare set in my flight bag.Only point of criticism is that the channel select knob doesn’t have a clean “click” like older Yaesus.I had no problem fitting the antenna, like some other reviews mention. It looks like there are two types of antennas supplied with the devices in circulation. The antenna supplied with mine has a BNC twist connector (see attached photo) and does not look like the antenna on the picture. I suspect it's the latter antenna that is problematic.I also had no problems fitting the batteries, as other reviewers mentioned, although the fit is indeed quite tight.

Unbeatable quality and having AA battery power makes it great for occasional use
Such a quality radio at a very reasonable price, backed up by fast delivery from Martin Lynch.
