I've been looking for a new hair trap since I can no longer obtain a replacement trap brush for the Go Green drain trap I installed years ago. The shaft of the metal brush has long since mostly dissolved and will break the next time I try to clean it. This hair trap is all plastic, so no rusting parts. There are 2 caveats. It's only sized for 1.50 inch diameter pipe. Most bathrooms, which is where I want to install it, use 1.25 inch pipe. I had to purchase a 1.5 inch tailpiece to go to the wall drain since a reducer washer really won't work in my setup because the cross pipe has it's own nut and flange. It will work just fine on the sink downpipe with reducer washers however. I will have to ream out the wall fitting to accept the new 1.5 drain tailpiece adapter, but that's really not an issue for me because I'd rather do that fix than constantly use a snake to pull out giant hair clogs that look like drowned, smelly rats. Ewwww. Not a pleasant job. The other issue that some reviewers have reported is leaks. I discovered on mine that the large front opening with the screw cap is not perfectly flat. An O-ring seal needs a flat surface to reliably seal. So I laid some fine wet/dry sandpaper down on a flat surface and sanded the front of the unit until it was flat and smooth. I also coated the O-ring with silicone grease to keep the rubber from wrinkling when screwing the cap on. No leaks now. Its working fine for me. I do wish the manufacturers would make a 1.25 inch pipe version however, because bathrooms are the place where hair will usually end up down the drain and most U.S. bathrooms are plumbed in 1.25 inch pipe.

Yes very good product, replaced an old hair trap when I purchased a new sink.

So, I made a small insulated compartment under my bus conversion, to accommodate the shower drain without raising the pan off the floor. My biggest worry is always that my plumbing will get clogged on the way to my macerator pump, but this solves that possibility! My shower pan drains directly to this, and then out to a 3deg angled main drain to my grey tank. It allows me to reach under the bus edge, into the compartment, and remove anything, including hair, that has gone down the drain. So far it has caught hair, hair ties, a ring, tons of dental floss and more. So glad I have it set up this way, and it's so easy to install and use/clean!

It was pretty smooth to install this trap, and there were no leaks. No more guessing if something fell down the sink, or if the trap needs cleaning. This one is fast and simple to check and clean. My one concern is that if any of the seals need replacing in the future, I might be guessing at what, or what size to use, and is it readily available. There were no instructions included, not that anything is really needed, and the amazon sell page does give some details. All in all, a great product to have.
