Outstanding Novel
Firstly, I saved the Novellas until I had my copy of Omega. I have to say, they were a brilliant idea to write and gave a great opening to the main book. Now for Omega. I didn't think Lizzy could write another series as good as The War of The Gods and their spinoff series, but she did just that. I'm a sucker for all things relating to Greek mythology and to have it based in modern times was a creative idea. The characters were well-written and had depth to them. I usually have a favourite character by the end of the first novel but I don't and that's all credit to a great author. I can't believe I have to wait until next year for the next one! You can guarantee it will be pre-ordered!

Greek Gods, an Oracle and an Armageddon
Set in modern day, Omega is the story of Alessandra, the next Oracle who has the ability to save the world by causing Armageddon. Based on Greek mythology, Gods included. Every character has their own ideas and agenda and Alessandra can't figure out who is on her side, if anyone. Full of twists and turns, action and potentially fatal attraction. The Omega beginning mini-series provide some insight into each of the main characters but by no means how their minds work. The torture of waiting for the next in the series may be equal to that imposed by some of Lizzy's characters!!

well worth a read.
What can i say but what a brilliant book, Lizzy Ford is a great writer and it shows yet again what she can do in this book.I read the Mimi series before and loved each one of them, gave a good base to this book which has you wanting more. Without knowing who's side she should be on.

The Unknowing Oracle In Waiting
This series must be read in order. The first eight book are available in a box set called Omega Beginnings Miniseries or separately. The first book is Alessandra. The second book is Mismatch. The third book is Phoibe. The fourth book is Lantos. The fifth book is Theodocia. The sixth book is Niko. The seventh book is Cleon. The eighth boom is Herakles. This is the ninth book. I can't wait to read The Silent Queen!Alessandra feel a bit adrift. She cannot remember anything at all of her childhood before she was rescued by Herakles. Growing up in an orphanage run by Priests with a bunch of perfect, beautiful Nymphs is no piece of cake. Especially when her guardian is so strict and feels the need to train her for the Apocalypse every freaking weekend! Unless a boy can out run, out fight, and pretty much best her in every way she is not allowed to kiss him... Much less keep him. Why is she being trained in such a manner? Why can't she go past the line of red cord in the forest? What is she being protected from? Hidden from? Will she ever be allowed to have friends? Do normal things? Just be a real girl? What is the big deal? It can't be that bad can it?If you haven't read the Beginnings series I suggest you take the time to! It explains alot of the back story and the motivations of the main characters. I can't wait for this series to continue! The world is breathtaking and immersive as well as being completely foreign to our own. Imagine if the Greek Gods still ruled the world!***This series is suitable for young adult through adult readers who enjoy paranormal in their modern fantasy suspense thrillers filled with the Old Gods and a bit of scifi :)

A must read!
Thank you to Captured Press & Lizzy Ford for the copy of the ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book I have read from Lizzy Ford and I was gripped from the beginning, it has everything I loved all put into one it was AMAZING!The story is set in modern times where Greek Gods rule the earth and each of them has been using it as a playpen, they have caused chaos and mayhem and I loved it *squeals*. Lyssa our leading lady who has been sheltered in life acting as Bear Grylls apprentice thought she was just a normal teenager, she turns out to be something very special indeed and her world changes over the one evening. As some people know I'm not a lover of most leading ladies in YA novels, most of them are weak, annoying and always think they are right while being wrong but Lyssa is completely different. I adored her in so many ways and I felt a connection with her, the only other leading lady I like this much is Katy Swartz (Lux series). My heart was breaking for her she couldn't trust anyone as they all just wanted her for their own needs... oh dear. The males in this book are totally for me, I just added Adonis to my book boyfriend list he has everything a girl could dream of he's witty, playful, competitive, handsome, moody, dangerous... the list goes on! but he's not the only one in the book that gets your attention. Our bad boy demigod Lantos as sneaky as he is also is hot, unpredictable, untrustworthy, hot, flirty, did I say hot? god, damn you demigods!I love Greek mythology so the book was right up my street, it was funny, fast paced and the plot was really good. Also, I loved the writing style as it was easy to build it all up in your mind creating a little world of your own. Now I need to wait for more ahh HURRY!"Your name is seared into my soul. I will always return to you."

Loved this book!!!
I am having a hard time getting my thoughts together on this book. It made me feel so many things.First I would recommend that you read the Omega miniseries before starting this book so you will have a better understanding of the characters. There are 6 novellas in the miniseries so far. (Alessandra, Mismatch, Phoibe, Lantos, Theodocia, and Niko) It gives you a better understanding of the characters past.Alessandra is the Oracle of Delphi. She is the person who is meant to be the go between the humans and the Gods. She is a very strong girl. Alessandra grew up not knowing anything of the world outside her school and the woods she grew up in. When that world comes crashing to the ground how will she react? Is there anyone she can trust?I do not like Niko. I am not sure about Lantos yet. Are Docy and The Silent Queen good or bad? There is one thing that I am absolutely sure about...I LOVE MISMATCH!!!Favorite quotes are the two listed below."Not used to men touching you." He was amused. "Stop it. Fly me home, you stupid oversized bat.""You are coming back aren't you?" I asked. "You are seared into my soul. I will always return to you."This book made me laugh out loud. Made me want to scream. A couple of times I put it down because I that is what I do when something is going to happen that I don't want to happen. At the end I wanted to cry because I love these characters. They feel real. This book ends with a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.I was gifted this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

A story with no conclusion
Very rarely do I give such a low review and I do not do it lightly. The story does very well at carrying a reader along and the characters were well thought out... but it has no conclusion. It is very frustrating to read hours worth of material only to finish with nothing. Also, POV changes were very confusing. Quite often, a chapter would start with "I" but you really don't know who "I" is.I enjoyed the world and the characters. And I applaud the author for building such a fantastic story. But I would not recommend this book.

Read the miniseries first if you want more depth
4 starsI really enjoy Ms. Ford’s writing. Her stories inevitably engage me and I usually devour everything she has in the series I’m reading, and this Omega series is no exception.First, I read the miniseries where Ms. Ford introduces all the main players for her Omega story and gives you backstory information, that, although available in Omega, isn’t touched on in great detail within the major novel in and of itself. Sometimes not having backstory is okay. You learn enough through the novel that you can fill in your own details, but sometimes having the details given to you makes the full story richer. I think this is one of those times. This novel picks up 12 years after the miniseries ends and follows Alessandra. The story moves along, the plot thickens, and true to a series it ends with enough questions unanswered, you wish to read more. My biggest gripe is Alessandra. For a girl raised to be able to overcome and withstand just about anything, she’s really weak and whiny and often too-stupid-to-live. This was a big letdown to me. Her only saving grace with this is her age. 18-year-olds habitually are TSTL.Aside from that, Ms. Ford once again provides a great amount of value for your dollar and I do recommend reading her Omega series.

Lyssa...loved her.
There is nothing I love more than a lead female character who is brave and doesn't always need a guy to come running to save her.Lyssa was that lead character who embodied everything I love. She didn't disappoint.I was a bit disappointed with the romance aspect of her relationship with Adonis, then again-it's book one so am sure the coming books will change all that disappointment to something entirely different. The human leaders-all three of them were crazy. So power hungry and even those I trusted disappointed me and stabbed Lyssa in the back.Lantos really screwed with my head, I thought he was better than that but his backstabbing tactics were so hurtful. Poor naive Lyssa. The pain the Oracles went through-my word-it was gutwrenchingly tragic. I was sad too that Lyssa was robbed of a chance of knowing her family.😓 Sad!If I continue in this path, I will reveal things I shouldn't but it was worth the money I paid and my time. Can we get a romance please between all our lead character-Lyssa and Adonis-Dossy and Lyssa's guardian [forgot his name].Lantos and The Silent Queen after he has been punished for being a backstabber. The third book coming out next year...unacceptable. It should be sooner.Loved it.

Where is
The book hangover is real with Omega!Omgee! There were so many intricate pieces woven into this amazingly awesome tapestry that I can't even think straight. I'll start by saying that you should probably read the Omega Beginnings novellas before you start this to get a broader picture of the story and the players. At the start of the book, we meet up with Lyssa (all grown up) and watch her as she navigates her new life and comes into who she is supposed to be. We get to see all of the players we met in the previous novellas and it was great to see how they all connected to one another. This book was House of Cards meets Clash of the Titans and I can't stop gushing about the absolute amazingness of Omega if I tried. I need Theta immediately! ONE-CLICK THIS BOOK! Like, now. Stop reading this review and click "buy".Such an immense book hangover. Another great book by Lizzy Ford!

manipulation, deception, intrigue, love, compassion
Omega by Lizzy Ford5 stars!!I'd waited for this book, waited for more of this story, after the miniseries. I was not disappointed!! I absolutely loved every part of Alessandra's story so far. I love Greek mythology, and this modern tale sucked me in.This is full of manipulations, deceptions, anarchy, battles, intrigue, love and compassion, add in modern mythology style political maneuvering, and this story is packed with so many things I could not put this down. I absolutely can't wait for the next books to tell more of the story. Lizzy Ford sucked me into her world again

Geek for greek
I give this book 5 stars. Lizzy has been teasing us for months and also released short books so we could learn more about all the characters back stories before she released this book. They really helped me understand the characters a lot more and understand exactly what they all had to go through. I loved this book!!!!! Mismatch is my favorite character of this book. I don't want to give any spoilers away so I won't. There is so much that Alessandra had to go through in the book. I hated that she had no idea who she really was or what she had to do but in the end she figured most out

Absolutely Fantastic!
Unexpected, original and a total mind-bend. This book really makes you think and deal with the harsh realities of this world. I was blown away by how the plot played out. I never really knew what was going to happen. It kept me guessing, on the edge of my seat until the very end and beyond. I'm highly anticipating the next book. The characters were full of depth and dimension. Alessandra was a fantastic character. She was smart, tough, independent, sassy and fun. Mismatch was another of my favorites. There are so many layers to his character I can't wait until they're all uncover and I can discover more about his past.I highly recommend this book to those who love mythology, action-packed and dark fantasy books.

Loved loved loved the first book in the Omega series
I've got the book on Netgalley for an honest opinion after reading it.Loved loved loved the first book in the Omega series. I've read all the books in the miniseries to be prepared for the book - and to shorten the wait on the upcoming book. Greek gods and the myths around them are something of an interest to me. So I read alot of books about the Greeks. But reading "Omega" felt nothing like I've read before. The series has such a new take on the greek goods that it's really interesting to read. It felt fresh and funny and I couldn't put the book down. Now I can't wait for the nest book in the series.

Can't Wait for the Sequels
I found Lizzy Ford through the prequel novellas for this book (the Omega Beginnings miniseries). They intrigued me enough that I grabbed her other free books, which hooked me even more until I ended up buying several of her ebooks, which never happens!Lizzy Ford has an amazing ability to build a world that is familiar enough to be believable, but original enough that the discovery of how it works is fascinating. I'm extremely impressed by the fact that she has built VERY different worlds for each of her series', despite having a similar plot arch.Omega is just as good at you think it will be! Definitely read the 8-part miniseries first to get the backstory, because Omega is non-stop action from the very beginning. After one small rule is broken, Alessandra's world is completely torn apart. While she was trained to fight and survive, she was not prepared at all to undertake the ruthless politics and double-dealing that she will need in order to escape her fate as the Oracle of Delphi. All of the supporting characters are extremely complex. The reader is just as thrown off as Alessandra about reactions to various events, which makes for a lively, unpredictable, and enjoyable adventure. Nothing in the world should be taken at face value and I am very much looking forward to figuring out the puzzle with Books 2 and 3. Can't believe they won't be here for so long!

Couldn't put down!!!
This books was amazing i can't believe what happened and how the characters acted. My favorite character has to be Mismatch.Just an Fyi you might want to read all the Omega miniseries, they help with understanding about the characters past.If you think about buying this book, DO IT!!Any of Lizzy Ford books are amazing but this might be my new favorite.I don't want to go into to much detail because you have to just get into all of the characters. With so much drama, love, and twists this book is so hard to put down. Even after reading it i can't get it out of my mind and i think i might reread it again tonight. Lizzy Ford can make you think about that plot and the characters even after your down with the book!

Lizzy Ford gives us another fantastic book
I love, love, LOVE this book! I read it all in one sitting because I just could not put it down. Just when I thought I had everything figured out something happens within the plot or a detail is revealed about a character that throws me for a loop. The alternate reality that Lizzy has created is exciting and interesting. I cannot wait for the next installment to see how Alessandra deals with her newly discovered world, what becomes of her and Adonis, and what happens to The Silent Queen. The alternate reality that Lizzy has created is exciting and interesting. This is another Lizzy Ford series that I will collect all of the books to.

Great reading
I like all the action in this story and I really enjoy Lissa's character, her attitude is inspiring. I have read more then 90% of Lizzy Ford's books and in this I see a depth in the writing and the integration with the current reality that we live in that is very interesting and refreshing, and also lead me to reflect on many things in life. Although the serie has just begun I already took a lesson from it; Not everything is what it seems and we cannot be quick to judge people, their attitude and/or their choices in life, because we all have a story that precedes us.
