I am very disappointed in this laser. I was really excited to purchase this because my cat loves playing with a laser and her old one got lost. I really liked the idea of the button and not having to hold down the laser the whole time playing with it. Everything looked good out of the bag and I put brand new batteries in it and it worked one time before it just stopped working completely!! I used it for a total of 30 minutes and while doing so the laser was very weak, would flicker in and out and worked like crap. After that first time it never would turn on again, no matter what I did from re putting the batteries in again, etc. So basically it went straight into the garbage. I am very disappointed but not going to return for the amount it cost me, it's not worth it.

Perfect! Uses a regular battery, not those crummy button cells, has a slightly larger, fuzzier red dot (great for cats, not for PowerPoint.) Also doubles as soft-lit normal LED flashlight, good for looking for misplaced cat toys under a dresser or investigating crashes in the middle of the night.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Put a brand new battery in when we got it. Had great laser light. It would shine across the next room. After playing with it with the cats only one evening, the laser went so weak, you couldn't even see it on the floor a few feet away. Okay. Try a new battery. Maybe I had a bad battery. Nope. Didn't help. Laser was useless. Flashlight part was still strong. Might as well as just thrown the $5.00 in the trash for how worthless this is.

I usually just grab a crappy laser pointer from the dollar store and use it til it dies (which doesn't take too long because all three cats LOVE IT). I had some Amazon credit so I decided to splurge and get this one (I know - $5 isn't the height of luxury - but wait).First of all, it uses a AA battery so it can be used A LOT LONGER than the little cheap-y ones that just get pitched after they stop working.The second amazing thing is that the light works with a switch so you don't wind up with a giant divot in your thumb from pressing the little tiny buttons on the regular pointers.And last, but not least - the pointer features a flash light setting and it's amazingly bright.Next time you want to treat your kitties - treat yourself too!

Kills the battery in just a few days. Can't store with the battery in it. Works fine otherwise. Wore out two batteries in barely a week before realizing what the problem was. That said, a lot of these cheaper devices don't work at all, so at least I can keep this one around.

This is a great laser toy for playing with your cat. I especially love the slider switch which is the main reason I picked it out. The ones with buttons always manage to leave my finger a little bit sore so this one was the perfect solution to that. I also love that it uses a AA battery instead of those little button batteries. It makes replacing the battery so much more easily done because I always have those on hand. My cat also loves this toy but what cat doesn't love lasers. It's also cool that it has a mini flashlight in it. I've never needed to use it but it's good to know I have a mini flashlight when I need one.

Left to believe it was an actual laser pointer and it's not. You provide your own battery and it's nothing more than a flashlight ....there is no laser pointer. I could have bought a small flashlight for the same price at the dollar store And at least at the dollar store it would have come with a battery.

The unit uses a common AA battery which is nice. The pointer is very bright. The unit is very lightweight. The best part is the slide switch allows you to use the pointer or flashlight without having to constantly hold down a button.
