This is a good solution for hands-free walking, but could be better. I think the length is good if you're running with your dog or even have a stroller, since the dog can't get too far away from you. For just one person and one dog, I'd like a slightly longer leash. I agree that the pouch needs to be a bit bigger. I can fit my normal sized (non-MAX) iPhone, a large pepper spray, and a small keyring, that's it, and it's tight. I don't think the design has been updated since the early 2000s because the advertised "dog poop bag hole" is actually a small hole for corded headphones. You could try to put poop bags through it, but there's nothing inside to hold them and they'd just unravel everywhere. I've had good luck clipping the dispenser onto one of the many D-rings.

I love the concept. The clasps are a bit heavy and the waist band is a bit uncomfortable for running. The band itself doesn’t have any elastic or anything to keep it in place so it just bounces around and kind of swings around the waist. It is good quality however and if it’s being used for walking these qualms won’t matter.

My pitbull puppy has a lot of energy and he tugs a LOT. We also live on the second story so sometimes he not only drags me on walks, but also drags me up and down the stairs which is a bit dangerous. I bought this leash bc the reviews mentioned it being useful for dogs who tug and so far it’s definitely reduced the tugging and made it easier to redirect him where I want with less force required. I think it would be sort of nice if the belt had a bit of padding but hopefully in the long term, the tugging won’t be as much of an issue. I love having my hands free! I removed the pouch for now but I plan on keeping treats in it eventually. My only actual complaint is a fairly frivolous one and that’s the color leash I got is much more blue compared to the photo.

I am 4'10 with a very hyper 3 year old German Shepherd. I always have a fear I will face plant onto the lawn when he runs out the moment I open the door but this leash was great. It feels more like a tug when he pulls me but when he runs it can hurt since the belt squeezes(?) harder. He doesn't try to fight me as much like he can sense that I have more control over the leash. It's also great cuz when I'm tired he just drags me like he's a horse and I'm a prisoner tied onto him (lol). Made me feel less anxious walking him and more motivated too it's a great buy for me

I bought this item when I decided to get another dog to join our pack. Although my dogs are small, one of them is quite reactive and I could see getting pulled over or losing a leash because I didn’t have enough hands to hold leashes and a poop bag. This has worked perfectly for Felix, my Heinz 57 terrier like mix of 12 lbs. The two sets of handles have helped me to rein him in quickly so that a shorter leash matches my grip on the other two dogs’ leashes
