This is an affordable larger grooming-aide mirror on a firm foam backing. I keep it handy to get another perspective on my grooming, hair and makeup. I like this better than the hand-held type -- it is bigger -- and figure I will get months or even years of use out of it if I take care of it.I think the thick foam backing probably protects this mirror from the usual mishaps -- falling off the bed or table, etc -- it has some cushioning. You can hold it by both hand-holds or just one. Nothing wrong with it, and it is more useful than many of the more expensive mirrors.

You know, at first I hated this. But now, I love it! When I originally bought this I misread the product description. I thought it was plastic with foam just around the mirror to hold it in place and keep it from breaking. It is all foam. I bought this for my clients when I do makeup, so this traveling with me a lot. I really like that it's foam because it seems to be more flexible and durable. It's also very light and my clients seem to love it!
