Expensive but delivers what it promised - up to 8K signals to a premium level. Both computer and monitor are relatively new, the monitor the older by a couple of months, the PC less than a month old and were previously connected by an HDMI cable. Now, there is much more 'snap' aka brightness and contrast being delivered. The latching provides secure connections; that was a particular issue with the HDMI cable previously used as, although light, it sometimes disconnected just sufficiently to cause the screen image to flicker. This is also quite heavy, not least due to its multiple levels of shielding and the heavier-gauge of signal cabling. On this performance, there would be no hesitation in buying another when the need arises.

I have a Acer Predator 4K monitor and I was using the Display Port cable that came with the monitor. I was having problems with the screen flashing black for a second or so . Made sure my monitor was set up as full screen in menu to match NVIDIA full screen scaling but still getting black screen flashes every now and then. Tried most things mentioned on forums etc and nothing worked. Bought this cable as it’s VESA rated and this has SOLVED the problem. This cable is rated for 4K so in my books it works. Nothing bad to say about this DP cable. My issue ended up being a faulty cable which this sorted, it's a thicker cable so I can only assume it's more insulated which is always good. The release button isn't like the others where I don't know if it's pressed or not - It's responsive; that's a weird thing to praise, I know, but it's a pet peeve of mine. I'm still not sure paying this much money for a cable is a good idea but time will tell.

It's difficult to get excited about a cable and even less so when you're paying over £20 for one that is supposed to perform a relatively simple task. When you see the alternative 'basic' version of the same cable in and around the £8 mark, then it becomes hard to justify splashing out almost three times the price. That was my experience when I purchased an AmazonBasics DisplayPort cable for my new monitor. I have had no issues or bad experiences with AmazonBasics products before so I chose one in good confidence that it would do the job. If you read the speel on the DisplayPort standards website, they also say that there isn't "versions" of DisplayPort cables, as such, just varying levels of build quality. So it seemed like a no-brainer. My monitor is an Asus Ultrawide that has a resolution of 3440 x 1440, running at up to a 100Hz refresh rate. When I got the AmazonBasics cable and plugged it in, all seemed to work fine. I went into my settings and noticed that the panel was running at 75Hz, a little lower than expected. When I did a bit more digging, I also noticed that the display was running at only 6-bit colour instead of 8-bit (the panel is an 8-bit one). Realising I was being limited by the 'DisplayPort 1.1' option on the monitor, I went to the on screen menu and selected 'DisplayPort 1.2' to try and get the full bandwidth of the DisplayPort enabled and enjoy 3440 x 1440 at 100Hz. Unfortunately what happened when I changed inputs to 'DisplayPort 1.2' was a series of flashing black screens. At first they were randomly intermittent and a few seconds long. Then they became long black screens with the occasional flash of the desktop and I had to fight with the monitor's OSD to try and change the input back to 1.1. After resetting the connectors, changing ends of the cable round and fiddling with display settings and Intel graphic driver updates, I was ready to tear my hair out. I decided to try a different cable and upon reading reviews of people with similar experiences, opted for the "Club3D CAC-2068" cable. I plugged it in and everything worked straight away. At first I had 75Hz in 8-bit colour and I tentatively changed the refresh rate to 100Hz (half expecting an unwanted lights show), and it worked fine. Everything running at the full refresh rate in the full colour that was intended to be shown. I didn't think my first review would be on something as exciting as a cable but I hope it will be useful to someone who is perhaps having difficulty deciding which cable to buy or even someone on the verge of returning a perfectly good high refresh rate or 4K monitor because it appears faulty. TLDR; The Club3D cable is undoubtedly expensive by comparison to others but it actually works and does what it is supposed to. The cable is reassuringly thick and has lock-in connectors on the ends.

Cable is a good thickness and Vesa certified, the ends have a nice locking ability and are well built. Still having monitor issues (for some people this fixed them) but i'm still glad I bought this and will be using from now on.

Supports 1080P, 144hz gaming which is what I bought it for. If you end up buying this be sure to check that you are running at the right resolution as windows reverted back to 60hz. I had to set up the monitor as 144hz through windows then through my GPU control panel.

I purchased this cable to use with my new WQHD 144Hz monitor, as it needs DisplayPort 1.4. I can confirm the cable does the job perfectly and had no problems installing it. It is very sturdy and feels durable, the locking mechanism is very tight and doesn't look like it would go out easily. The release mechanism works fine, much easier than other cables to pull out when you press the button. The only slight disadvantage is its rigidity, it's quite hard to bend or twist. But I reckon this is because of its strength so it's not really a bad thing

So for a long time i was using the DP cable that had came with my monitor. for a while i was getting micro-stutters, flickering (minor) and in dark scenes a dragging effect (inverse ghosting) when FPS was around 80-100 (I have 240hz G-Sync btw) and regardless of the game now it is butter smooth, no random stutters and most importantly No Ghosting! I did have an issue where my monitor was flickering and had random artifacts when i plugged the cable in but that was my fault as i had a custom resolution setup. I reverted to my monitors native resolution in Nvidia and the problem was solved. Cant believe the DP cable i got with my monitor was the problem. I had read that the cables you get are not VESA Approved most of the time so i did some digging and found out these cables are VESA approved and all my problems are sorted. Would Definitely Recommend using this cable over the cable that comes with your monitor.

Meu uso é comum para design, não jogo. Funciona super bem pro meu uso.

Questo è un Cavo con la C maiuscola. Funziona meglio di versioni 2.1! Ho provato 4 cavi di cui 2 in versione 2.1 (di altre marche). Devo collegare un monitor 3440x1440 a 180Hz! Con gli altri cavi avevo frequenti schermate nere (pochi istanti) questo, sebbene 1.4, è eccezionale! E' spesso il doppio rispetto gli altri e regge il link video senza problemi. In assoluto il miglior cavo.

Reeds meerdere van deze DP kabels gekocht en nog nooit heb ik een probleem ervaren. Wel integendeel, CLUB 3D maakt zeer degelijke kabels die VESA gekeurd zijn! Hierdoor ben je zeker van een kwalitatief en goed werkende kabel. De prijs zit ook goed en is zeker betaalbaar; ook voor budget builds. Gewoon aansluiten op de DP poorten en klaar. Dankzij de ingebouwde klemmen (kleine pinnen op beide uiteinden) blijven deze kabels goed zitten. Met een druk op de knop haal je de stekker er gemakkelijk weer uit. Deze kabel ondersteund tot 8K waarmee je dus ook wat 'future-proof' bent. Niet twijfelen, dit is dé kabel die je nodig hebt. Ik ben zeer tevreden ermee.
