So reliable, I waited about a month before posting to see how it is. And I have to say it exceeds my expectations. I really like the thermometer, the water heats quickly, auto shuts off and stays hot for long time. It adds character to the small counter, and makes me smile when I walked into the kitchen.

I'm very happy with this purchase. I've owned this kettle for about 8 months and it works great. It's small and cute. It looks great in my kitchen with other copper appliances I have. I love that it's compact so it doesn't take up a lot of counter space. It's an excellent value--the price was great. It heats up the water very quickly. The temperature gauge on top is handy. It hasn't leaked at all. I actually appreciate that it has all of the functions it needs, but nothing more. It looks great, doesn't take up a lot of space and works well. The base is plastic but the actual kettle is all metal. I recommend not leaving water in it after you're done with the water you need. My old kettle from another brand developed a leak after 2 years and I suspect it's because I left water in it most of the time.

What a jewel of a purchase, total royalty. It adds.to my china set and makes it só special to use. It's dainty, and the gooseneck makes pouring easier without spilling. I love this electric tea kettle. I picked this one because it doesn't have any plastic components that touch the water and it is stainless steel. It is a sturdy, well made kettle. As others have noted, the tab you press to start heating the water is a bit delicate feeling. Just a light tap and it is heating up. It makes a little click sound when it is done heating and the tab pops up. It heats the water really quickly. The only thing I don't like about this kettle is that there is a burning chemical smell when the kettle is heated. I realized it is coming from the base that heats the kettle, which is mostly plastic. Since it doesn't touch the water, I guess it isn't a big deal, but I'd rather not smell chemicals when making tea. Overall, I am very pleased with this kettle.
