I am so very happy with these pens. I think this is the best purchase I have made in a while. They are all fabulous. Some (3-4) came loose during shipping but were super easy to put back together. I love the fact that they are so well made. I even think the fact that they all have business names on them is neat because I have even looked up a few of the business's out of curiosity. (psst...could be good advertisement) I will definitely be purchasing again.

I was asked to buy some pens to give away on a trip to a third world country. When I am buying something to give something away, I always try to make it something I would love myself. These pens that I got were suprisingly very good quality! They are all good-looking, write smoothly, retractable, have metal barrels and have a soft tip on one end that could be used for touch screens. No printing was on any of them. They look pricey too! I am quite pleased with the lot I received. There were 3 colors in my lot with approximately 40 of each color for a total of 120 pens received (red pens with copper metal, gray pens with gold metal and blue pens with silver metal). Note: one type/group of the pens I received had a little plastic thing on the tip, presumably to prevent drying out or prevent leaking ink, that you must remove before it will work to write with. After reading the reviews other people posted before I bought them, I knew I would get whatever was pulled from the shelf that day. After getting such nice pens in my lot, I would definitely risk buying again the next time I need so many. For me, this was defintely a good purchase for the money.

Great alternative if you need pens at your work and you dont want to be buying expensive ones. Great variation and all look normal but good quality. Have had a couple either broken or dont write. But most are fine

Good pens, good selection. My only gripe is that the whole package, including 2 boxes, weighed less than described.

This was exactly what I was hoping for and more...a large box of decent pens at an affordable price! I always buy the 10-pack of pens from Staples or other supply places, and they seem to disappear into thin air. I was getting ready to purchase more when I happened to notice this item. Almost as a joke, I ordered it, but I am so glad I did! Don't expect high end writing instruments in this assortment, but do expect a great assortment of smooth writing pens. I would say the many of them are the same approximate type of style (has the touch screen knobby on the end), but may have different color inks. There are a few other types thrown in as well. These are a step up or three from cheap hotel or trade show pens. If I had to quantify it in real life terms...if you have ever signed a credit card slip in a restaurant using the pen the server leaves you, and you pause for a second or two and contemplate stealing it because it wrote nice and smooth, then you get the idea. For the price, this is fabulous. If you have the type of house where you can't ever seem to keep a pen handy, buy this!

Keep your expectations reasonable: when you get your box of pens, most, but possibly not all, of the pens will work. Some of them might not be pens at all. Some will have their misprint text crossed out or scratched off. Some are clearly demo models, and some are obviously remaindered/errors. Some may be discontinued models or designs. Some are metal, some are rubber-covered. All of the ones I've tried write in black ink, but there's no guarantee that this will always be the case. There's clearly a set of standard models available at pens.com (the source of the pens themselves); you may or may not end up, as I did, with a couple of different pen/screen stylus options, for example (some designs for this are better than others, but all work). Look, let's be honest -- it's a 5lb box of pens, nothing more, nothing less. At the price I paid, this is a stupendous value, even if a couple of the pens don't work (and even if some of them aren't pens at all -- I got a few weirdo pen-lights in the mix). Honestly, this has been a fun purchase for me. It's a grab bag (grab box, whatever) of random pens, and it feels like I've won a very silly prize every time I pull a new one out of the box. I go through a lot of pens at work and at home, so this is also a terrific money-saver.

Smaller balls than I expected - read the description. The quality of just "ok". Good for practice, and works pretty well for tatting and fine crochet, but the sheen isn't there. I wouldn't use this for an important fiber arts piece, but they will be just fine for embroidery on blue jeans.

Still have some but these are the best! So many in a box and the good ones!
