The Home Edit by iDesign Small Paulownia Wood Multi-Purpose Storage Bin with Handles, Black

These are perfect to add a black touch to your home organisation. We used them in a kitchen we organised recently and it looks amazing.

The media could not be loaded. Small and reasonably well made storage container. Its dimensions are suitable for compact storage needs which in my case is for loose packets of herbs and spices within the kitchen. It is well finished and is an aesthetically pleasant alternative to plastic alternatives.The handles are useful in two respects, first of all the obvious practicality of handling the box, and secondly as a means of seeing into the container without taking moving it when it is stored at eye level as mine is.Overall I am really pleased with the this container and it works well with my darker kitchen cabinets.

This wooden storage box arrived in a thin plastic bag (so with minimal protection against damage) and has a footprint of 24.5cm x 19.1cm with a height of 15.2cm so isn’t the largest box. The box is made from sustainable paulownia wood which is relatively lightweight and is painted black in colour.One of the first things I noticed about the box was that there was an odd painted area on the largest panel inside the box which looked like it had been damaged and then coated with a slightly different painted (see photograph). I did find this a bit disappointing considering the price point. Otherwise, the box is well finished without any sharp edges or splinters and fortunately because it is on an interior surface you won’t be able to see this flaw when filled with objects.The box is suitable for use throughout your home and is ideal for the kitchen or in a bathroom. I am using the box in the kitchen within a cupboard to help organise snacks and it is perfect for this application. The box has integrated handles so it is easy to pull out or carry and is branded with the logo on the base of the box.Priced at £12.89 at the time of reviewing, this does come across as a bit pricey for the size of the box (particularly with the slight flaw) but the exterior finish is good and it feels very solid. I can imagine it lasting many years to come, although the black painted finish could wear with use and you do need to be aware that there may be slight flaws to the finish.

The box is the lightest weight you can imagine and actually feels similar to Balsa wood we used at school except this is well known to be strong and hardwearing as hardwood.This wood does not absorb moisture and will not warp so it is very suitable for bathroom use and you will not get any mould growing because ion this.The box ids extremely well made and has real mitred corners which are slightly rounded but still square.I am unaware if this is the actual colour of the wood or it has been stained to this dark colour.I have done a thorough search on this type of wood and it appears tom be more commonly used that I think even though I have never came across this before today.Very pleased with the craftsmanship and design of this storage and super pleased I v=can use it in the bathroom without it absorbing warm moisture and degrading the box shape eventually.Easy clean with a damp cloth.

If you are looking for a high-quality, stylish box to help organise your shelves, this box is a good choice.It is quite a nice size and comes fully assembled which means it is very convenient. It is made out of wood and feels very solid, sturdy and durable whilst not being too heavy. The top is open and there are handles on each side so it is good to put it on a high shelf so you can bring the whole contents down to find what you are looking for.It does seem a little expensive for a small wooden box however it is well made and looks very nice. I would recommend it.

I'm thrilled with this little storage box. The wood itself is thick and feels sturdy, it's finished smoothly (no sharp corners or splinters) and the handles are comfortable to hold. You can still see the texture of the wood grain through the black paint finish, and so it looks lovely and sleek. It's the perfect addition to my desk, to help me keep my notebooks and bits and pieces tidied away.One word of warning - the paint finish isn't particularly robust, and I've already managed to scratch a bit within about half an hour of using it - so go gently!

This box arrives wrapped in a clear plastic bag ready to use with a shaped underside that would fit a couple of mm into an identical box below it, so that if you have multiples, they can be stacked & are less likely to slip.It's lightweight, sturdy with rounded edges & cut out handles on 2 opposite sides so would be easy to pull out of a cupboard & move elsewhere if used to store things like crafting bits you want to use at a table.Stained black, it looks very neat & is strong enough to fill with small bottles or similarly heavy items, but this wood does bruise pretty easily, so if it gets too many bashes they will start to show.As the wood underneath is a very pale colour, you could fix this by just running a black Sharpie over any knocks because they are very obvious on such a dark colour.Looks just like the product images & the included dimensions are accurate.Nice, but I think the choice to spray it black makes it harder for this to look good long term.

Really nice looking simple storage boxes that are sturdy and have handles for easy transport. Would recommend!
