If you work with soil and want a automated watering system these work great. Build a manifold with shutoff valves for each ring and you will be able to control water flow . Add a increment timer and you'll be fully automated in no time it will take some adjustments to get even pressure to each ring . Great product for master gardners looking for even water distribution.

Going to be a game changer in the watering schedule. I have them in a 3 gallon grow bag

HELP ME HELP YOU!!! I don't know why this isn't listed in the product description, but the connector on the ring requires 0.520" inner diameter tubing, which is sold as "1/2" vinyl pond tubing." There are (at least) three different sizes of tubing that are all referred to as "half-inch": 0.520", 0.60", & 0.62" ID. The standard "half-inch" black poly irrigation tubing (e.g. Rain bird) that you'll find in the irrigation aisle at a home improvement store is 0.60" ID/0.70" OD, which will be very loose & will not work. You need 0.520" ID vinyl "pond tubing" to connect to the nipple, which I found in the outdoor/plants section. Search for "DIY Automatic Watering System for Indoor Cannabis" at Cocoforcannabis to find a write up of Hydro Halos and how to set these up. I already had 0.60" poly irrigation tubing in my setup, and I learned that you can connect 0.60" poly tubing to the 0.520" vinyl tubing that the Hydro Halo uses with Rain Bird brown-colored "1/2 in. Barbed Couplings". These couplings are really meant for the 0.60" poly tubing, but if you soak the 0.520" vinyl tubing in boiling water to soften them up, you can, with some effort, fit them on the coupler and thereby connect the two different sizes of tubing. While I've only used them for a few days, the Hydro Halos are working great so far. Just be sure to buy ball valves for each ring you are connecting so meter/equalize the flow of water. 13 mm/0.520" ball valves are the easiest to use, but you can also use 16 mm ball valves if you soak the tubing in boiling water to soften it up, as referenced above. I don't know why this isn't more clearly listed in the product description. I drove myself nuts for two hours trying to figure out why my "half-inch tubing" didn't work. Hope this helps someone out!

This solved my problem with watering my Muscadines. More water volume comes out than expected but that's ok, I simply don't have to run it as often and as long as I first expected. So pleased, I am order 5 more for all my Muscadines.

The Opening Was Smaller Than The Stock So I Could Not Use It, It Does Fit Inside A 5 Galion Bucket, But I Think The Next Smaller Size Might Be Better, But Might Need To Be Installed prior to the Grow. some of the legs would just fall out, some epoxy would fix it.

I bought 2 of these to water my 5 gallon potted plants. They are decent construction, plenty of water holes to evenly distribute waterflow and just very simple, yet brilliant watering devices. No problems whatsoever with these. They have allowed me to setup my irrigation on auto timers so this is now a thoughtless process to water as often as I need. UPDATE: Several months later these are still operating just like they were on day one. I always use distilled water in my basin to push water to these, however I'm typically running nutrients at around 1400PPM through these and I don't have any clogs or salt buildup on the water rings.

An awesome tool for anyone's irrigation setup. These halo's water all around the plants.

Works wonders for those who want an automatic feeding system, and an all round equal watering, works perfectly, plants are thriving and the halo hasn't shown any signs of degrading or any limescale/salt build up as yet.

Funktioniert gut aber es waren nur zwei Stabhalterungen in der Originalverpackung. Anruf bringt nichts, weil die Leute nur Spanisch sprechen. Jetzt muss ich mich mimt 2 Halterungen zu frieden geben. Wenn alle 3 mit dabei gewesen wären, dann wären es 5 Sterne
