Hard to see what it does on engine braking but feel safer with it on especially down M27

The Cosmo Connected is a great idea, and works well for the most part, but there are some issues. First the good - it is very bright, making you more visible to other road users. I ordered a black unit because the Amazon page said the white one was out of stock...but when it arrived, I opened the box and found a white unit inside. Nice surprise considering I wanted the white version to go on my white helmet, but if I'd wanted the black one I would have been a bit annoyed. Now for the slightly dissappointing stuff. First, the accelerometer/braking functionality (which make the light illumiate as if you're braking) is too sensitive and can activate even when just moving your head around. The app that you need to download to use the Cosmo/change settings is very poor. You can change sensitivity settings within the app, but they don't really make much difference. Finally, why there is no option to disable the accelerometer and simply use the Cosmo as a running light makes no sense, especially since the functionality is so hit and miss. It's still worth a purchase at the current price (£60), especially to give more visibility to you as a rider during the winter months, but there are some glaring issues which could probably be sorted with firmware updates.

Good safety addition increasingly visibility particularly to higher seated following traffic, Trucks and Vans. Hopefully decreases risk of been rear ended. Sometimes difficult to turn on. Battery indicator requires connection to app which is a bit of a faff. It easily connects to magnetic base with helmet on.good value alterative to e.g brakefree system.

The light unit is well made & matches the black gloss paint on my LS2 flip front helmet, the led's are very bright when in braking.

Opladen via USB, op je magnetische houder op je helm klikken, een tikje erop geven om het te activeren en rijden maar. Mooie uitvinding om je zichtbaarheid en dus je veiligheid te verhogen.

Este produto é incrível! Para além de ser como o anunciado, é fiável e funciona exatamente como esperava. O sensor é extremamente sensível, deteta as mais pequenas mudanças de velocidade, o que é particularmente útil quando estamos a travar apenas com o motor. Como tenho uma mota relativamente baixa, tenho a preocupação adicional de melhorar a visibilidade para garantir a minha segurança. A colocação deste equipamento no capacete coloca uma luz de aviso de travagem ao nível dos olhos dos condutores de automóveis, o que reduz a possibilidade de não ser visto. O equipamento tem várias funcionalidades adicionais, como enviar SMS de emergência em caso de deteção de acidente, mas não as explorei por não me fazerem falta. Comprei apenas pela questão da visibilidade e estou imensamente satisfeito. Já apanhou chuva intensa e não houve qualquer perturbação, nem no aparelho nem no suporte.

Eigentlich sollte es erst mal nur ein Test sein. Ich hab es jeden Tag im Einsatz gehabt. Sonne, Regen, Abends, Nachts und bei diesigem Wetter. Die Reaktionen der Autofahrer sind sehr unterschiedlich. Fakt ist : Man so sichtbar ! Und das richtig gut. Und besonders noch in der Ferne. Die App ist gut aber hat noch Luft nach oben. Das Cosmo ist sowohl mit aber auch ohne App bedienbar. Über die App kann ich halt zusätzlich noch Dauerblinken einstellen. Heißt, Brems- Position und Warnlicht. Die App kann zusätzlich noch tracken etc. Letztlich braucht man die APP nicht. An und aus geht über ein liebevollen, bestimmtes Tätscheln. Braucht manchmal zwei drei Versuche. Der Magnet am Helm ist mega stark. Geht nicht fliegen. War so ein bisschen meine Sorge. Nutze es an meinen Shark Helmen (Spartan) und am Nolan. Leider passt es nicht an meinem Scorpion. Der läuft hinten schräg zu. Da soll es noch Lösungen geben laut Hersteller. Betriebsdauer ist mit 8 h angegeben. Die schafft es locker. Also kann wirklich auf einer Tagestour komplett genutzt werden. Über Nacht aufladen und es geht wieder los. Grundsätzlich gilt…es ist wasserfest und nicht dicht. Bis jetzt aber kein eindringen von Wasser. Das Cosmo hat eine Dichtlippe sodass er am Helm abschließt. Am besten schräg aufsetzen. Ich will es nicht mehr missen. Klar ist…Du wirst eindeutige besser gesehen. Fakt ist aber auch…wer Dir auffahren will tut das. Egal ob Du eine gelbe Weste oder ein Cosmo oder beides trägst. Viele Autofahrer haben tatsächlich ihr Verhalten hinter mir angepasst. Am Ende gilt…weiterhin für die anderen mitdenken. Ride Safe !
