Duralex Made in France Lys Dinnerware 18 oz Soup Bowl with Handles. Set of 6, Clear

I purchased these bowls with the recommendation from Lead Free Mama as she had tested them with her professional heavy metal meter. I got rid of all my suspected lead contaminated kitchen pottery/china/everyday wear for fear of my family ingesting unnecessary lead and other heavy metals such as antimony, cadmium, etc. These bowls are pretty, glass bowls but are definitely more fragile than typical ceramic dishes. Worth the trade off for health though. Not great for a big bowl of salad but nice size for a bowl of oatmeal or a small portion of chili etc.

I have been researching for a while for non toxic bowls! These are it! A great size, I read reviews that some thought the size was small, but I think they are perfect. Made of durable glass, scratch resistant, no lead etc. good quality glass.. withstands hot and cold, made in France their mush stricter on quality. Love them. Gave some to my friend she loves them, and she even ordered more.

I became very concerned about lead and other carcinogens in the finishes of dinnerware after reading many reviews about production. That is why I chose Duralex Clear Glass dinnerware. It. is crafted to be resistant to chipping and cracking. This fits easily into my dishwasher and can be used in the microwave as well. My only wish is that is was sold in sets of 4 rather than 6, but I am very pleased with the quality and value of Duralex.

These bowls are a lot like Pyrex. They're very durable. They can be used in the oven, or in the microwave. They have handles, making it easier to manipulate them in and out of the oven. Dishwasher safe.As opposed to Pyrex (which I also like), the color is clear, and doesn't have a slight green tint. These bowls have a base that's about 3/8" thick. They don't tip over easily.Volume: 17 ounces (based on my own measurement). Diameter: 5 1/4" along the top without handles (6 1/2" with handles). Height: 2 5/8". Diameter along the bottom: 3 1/8".Where are they made? France. Unbelievable! Something that's not made in China!Packaging: These are well packaged. There are cardboard rings between the bowls. And all six (6) bowls are contained in heavy shrink-wrap. I've order several sets of these. And they all arrived in perfect condition.Cons: They don't come with lids.

Beyond disappointed. Thus was my 3rd delivery of Duralex from Amazon 3rd party vendors in the past 3 days, all 3 delivery items were defective! I give up! I had ordered Drualex from Amazon in previous years, and I still have those. What is going on with these recent items being sold?! Cracks built in. Did these ever pass quality control at Duralex????

I thought these would be durable, but after a month there are chips already. They are easy to hold, and I like the tab. I thought that would break off, but not yet. Its the rim that just chips. They aren't very durable.

Attractive, sturdy but small. I'm delighted to have bought 2 sets and use them for various purposes. Love the small handles!

I received the bowls and they seemed packed well but one of them was chipped. I needed all 6 so I contacted the company about it. I heard nothing back at all. Amazon refunded my money so it's ok now but I would not buy from them again.

Perfect glass work!

Very strong glass. When put in microvawe the handles don't get hot. Exactly what I was looking for.

J'avais hésité à commander ce lot de bols à oreilles en raison des nombreux signalements d'arrivée cassés. Sauf à jeter violemment le carton pendant son transport, je ne comprends pas comment c'est possible : les bols sont empilés avec un rond de carton rigide sous chaque fond, serrés par un film plastique épais, ce lot qui est bien coincé et ensuite emballé dans une enveloppe de film à bulles, recouvert d'une seconde, puis placé dans un carton de petite dimension dont les espaces libres sont bourrés de papier kraft. Pour ce qui est des bols, chacun pèse 350 grammes, donc verre épais. On achète du Duralex et on a la qualité. Ravie de mon achat.
