if your Jammers are the right size, they should contain everything. The legs are also elasticated. I haven't had any leaks from my son who is very active..You can also buy swim pads that don't expand like nappies when wet for extra protection ,if you like..

Q: What size do I get for my 8-9 year old ?

I used the size guide, measuring my daughters thighs and waist and was suppressed that she needed an adult medium when previously she’d had a large child, but I hadn’t been able to source any larger children’s ones. My daughter is only 10 but in age 13 - 14 clothes.

I ordered the smallest adult size for my 12 year old ( average build) and they are huge! Not sure if that helps
