Better than expected!
I ordered this book a month before my class starts because I was worried about getting it on time. It arrived within a few days. The condition was great! I doubt the previous owners ever even opened it, you would think it is brand new! Very happy.

A must own for any grading reformist, and/or stakeholder in education!
Regardless if you're already vested in standards-based grading/learning or just getting started, Standards-Based Learning in Action: Moving From Theory to Practice by Schimmer, Hillman & Stalets presents a clear formula for successful implementation of healthy grading practices. Specifically, this book purposefully & deliberately outlines how to sustain the movement away from outdated and harmful grading practices and towards those that accurately communicate and promote student learning and growth. A must own for any grading for learning reformist, and/or stakeholder in education!

Practical and Approachable
I appreciated that the authors provided the rational for standards based learning and provided practical tips for how to get there. This book doesn't feel preachy, but instead provides options for teachers in the classroom. Wherever you might be on your teaching and assessment journey, there is something in this book for you.
