Marooned in 1799: A Time Travel Novel (THE BRENNAN FAMILY SAGA) Review: Really good story! - This is a riveting story! I enjoyed reading it, but also used it as a bit of a pop quiz. We talk about preparing for things like natural disasters, still when they occur we find out exactly how unprepared we are. This family is unusually prepared for most eventualities and yet they still find challenges once they are faced with an uncertain future without access to 21st century services and amenities. Additionally, it is a story of building family-of-choice, deciding who to trust and to love. Is that important? Of course, it is! I recommend this book to anyone seeking a pleasant diversion, provided they are not overly sensitive about the topics of Native Americans, firearms, or hunting. I plan to recommend it to a Facebook group I belong to on basic emergency preparedness. Review: A calm and decent time travel read - I enjoyed this book and am giving it four stars, though it might deserve a little less. Iโm a time travel aficionado and have read hundreds of books in the genre. This one isnโt particularly memorable, but itโs also not one of the many I gave up on and returned halfway through. It held my interest enough to finish, and that counts for something. The story is fairly realistic and has a peaceful, almost homely tone. Itโs not too dark or intense, nor is it too silly and comedic. Itโs the kind of time travel story you could almost read to middle aged kids. Nice and warm. The dialogue can be a little clichรฉ at times, maybe even slightly cartoonish, but itโs not terrible. Emotions match the scenes well enough, and the overall vibe is pleasant. Not a top-tier read, but a solid, easygoing time travel book. Worth a try if youโre looking for something light with some decent action scenes. And yes, this review was written using ChatGPT. I just dictated my thoughts and let it type it up for me. These are still my honest opinions.

Life Experiences
One of the best books I have read in years. I loved the plots within plots and the details you wove into your story. As a member of indigenous peoples I thank you for not making the Indians in your story all unintelligent savages but just like the Jones next door. Looking forward to reading your next book.

An unexpected pleasure
I was searching for a new fictional read and just happened on this fantastic book this morning. I just finished reading it about twelve hours after picking it up. Itโs such a unique plot with interesting characters that kept my interest throughout. I heartily recommend this one and hope youโll enjoy it as much as I have.

Wow
I sure didn't expect that - a time travel book to which I'm giving a 5 star review. Other than post apocalyptic fiction, I don't do science fiction. That said, this is about a family that, due to a freak storm and a comet, somehow get swept back to rural 1799. The story is about their lives and a few people they met while back there (SPOILER ALERT) for a year. It's heartwarming, the son finds love, they all find a friend. And - ok, you have to suspend belief regarding the whole experience of time travel - but given that, their being zapped back to the present is even realistic - the FBI and scientists interviewing them to be sure it was time travel and that they're not space aliens, their being in the public eye, etc. And there's a nice surprise at the end. The only thing I didn't like was some foul language - BUT even that was pretty mild and, after the first few chapters, almost non-existent. And the one unbelievable part was (ANOTHER SPOILER ALERT) passing off Rene as their son Kyle back in the present time. Not one person except Kyle's ex-fiance seemed to notice his total change of appearance. Odd. But, other than those 2 things, this was a super interesting, super entertaining, super great tale.

Good book.
I enjoyed reading this book very much. It was interesting and held my attention to the end. The violence was warranted and the characters believable.

Wowowow
What a book!!!! This is the best book I've read in years! I have read so many books and this story fascinated me. I don't often say that I couldn't put it down, but that's the truth. But... I read too fast and it's done.... There is more to this story... Let's see more of the family and Rene... But... Let's go back and tell the story of Kyle being left behind... Bill hit this out of the park!!!! Wowowowowow.
