Bresser Weather Station 4cast LX, 4-Day Weather Forecast (Meteotime) with Outdoor Sensor

Brilliant idea, it uses the radio waves from Germany for the clock, which I have used before, on another item. This one also give a 4 day weather data as well. It does take 24 hours for it to set itself up. But after that does seem to give an accurate forecast. It does have its own sensor that can be used inside or out, and gives temp and humidity. This shows on the base item. It does not need the internet..and both items came with the batteries included how often can you say that??

The hardware is good. I checked the indoor and outdoor temperature sensors indoors together before installing the outdoor sensor, there was only 0.2 degrees C difference. I am happy with that, however the data from Meteotime is not great , in particular, wind speed. I have had this weather station for about a month and in that time the unit displays either 30km/hr when the wind speed locally is a very light breeze or 52km/hr if there is a breeze blowing. I checked Paris and Berlin on the weather station these two cities showed wind speeds of 10km/hr, which according to BBC weather seemed to be correct. This morning on very close inspection I discovered a small '<' to the left of the wind speed display, which I take is meant to indicate a wind speed 'less than' the figure displayed. I have just checked and the '<' is not displayed on the Paris or Berlin wind speeds. No mention of the 'less than' symbol, if that is what it is is mentioned in the instructions. For those like me who understand mph I have converted km/h into mph; 10km/k = 6 mph a light breeze, 30 km/h = 18.6 mph and 52 km/h = 32.3 mph.

While I am generally satisfied with this Weather Station the negatives nearly outweigh the positives. Th main issues for me are that whilst the outdoor sensor can display C or F the base station only displays in celsius. The backlight only remains lit for about 5 seconds and the display is all but unreadable in half light. Nowhere near as good as the Oregon Scientific I previously had.

This seems a good unit. The range of the external sensor is very good and I haven't had any drop-outs (unlike my previous station). It also picked up the radio clock easily. There are cheaper units out there but I'd recommend this based on its look, feel and reliability.

Feine Sache , immer auf den neuesten Stand . Man kann viele Länder ( Urlaub ) u. Städte abrufen . Man kann den eigenen Heimatort bzw. Stadt , wenn nicht in der Liste , händisch eingeben . Habe lange gesucht , jetzt habe ich ein feines Gerät . Man muß nur aufpassen , daß keine Störquellen da sind . Ursprünglich vorgesehener Platz ( oberhalb Wireless Lan Router ) ging überhaupt nicht , eh klar . 2,5 Meter weiter top Signalempfang , 1,5 zum Computer kein Problem .

Dopo aver acquistato, per una vita, apparecchi Oregon Scientific ho voluto provare questo Bresser 4cast LX (anche perchè la Oregon non produce più niente di simile) Ebbene, dopo qualche settimana posso dire di aver acquistato un ottimo prodotto. Le istruzioni vanno lette con molta attenzione e la stazione necessita di 2/3 giorni per ambientarsi. Nonostante le poche zone disponibili, ho trovato ottima la possibilità di poter personalizzare il luogo per cui è possibile visualizzare anche un piccolo paesino...basta digitarne il nome. Invece ho trovato un po' scomodi i tasti sul lato sinistro dell'apparecchio. Essendo appeso vanno usate entrambe le mani. Per quanto riguarda la consegna devo dire che "Prime - consegna in un giorno" non viene più rispettata. Almeno per quello che mi riguarda. Da quando ci sono le Poste Italiane di mezzo, un giorno sono diventati tre e la maggior parte delle volte il pacchetto non arriva più a casa, arriva solamente l'avviso. Per il resto tutto bene....

Bien que ma ville soit dans la liste en zone10, le symbole de réception est affiché , non seulement je n'ai pas réussi à avoir les prévisions météo des jours J+2etJ+3 , en plus il arrive que là prévision du jour ne s'affiche pas . 2ème point, la sonde extérieure et unité centrale côté à côte un écart de température de près de 3 degrés. Il faut savoir que c'est la 2eme station même marque même modèle que je retourne

Buona idea previsioni sottomano di più località (per esempio i^ e ii^ casa). Le previsioni sono sufficientemente affidabili, quanto basta.

Appena sballato da l'mpressione della mezza cinesata, i materiali infatti sono un po' leggerini (decisamente migliorabili), una volta messo in funzione ed atteso circa una giornata (tempo utile per scaricare le previsioni per i quattro giorni successivi) si ha di fronte un apparecchio compatto che da' tutte le informazioni necessarie ( previsioni effettuate da un servizio meteorologico e non misurazioni di parametri puntuali ) con una attendibilità molto buona. La previsione a quattro giorni è disponiile solo in alcune zone, quindi verificare prima per evitare delusioni ingiustificate. Infine, e questo è forse l'unico vero problema, la ricezione del segnale che trasmette le previsioni (indispensabile per il funzionamento del sistema) è un po' deboluccia pertanto potrebbe essere necessario installare l'apparecchio in una posizione (all'interno della casa) diversa da quella desiderata, tutto dipende dall'orientamento dalla zona e dalla schermatura che la struttura offre rispetto al segnale.
