So I gave this 5 stars because it works great and does what it says it will but boy did it not work in my situation. I needed to find the blockage in my sink pipe but every time the camera touched any sludge I immediately couldn't see anything and I mean it was pretty much as soon as it got a foot in the pipe I was blind. SO for everything else ive used it for in the house or garage its worked great, just not for why I originally bought it. Picture looks great and the cable was very long

This little lighted scope turned out to be essential for a bath fan installation where I had to examine the placement of Romex wire in the wall without full access. I have also used it to search under a "crawl space" that was too low for a person, and to fetch a screw that I dropped using the magnet accessory. But consider upgrading to a Depstech model where the end of the scope has TWO integrated cameras: one pointing forward and one pointing to the side. You can then toggle the display to show the forward camera, the side camera or a split screen of both. That would come in handy because you cannot really turn the head of the camera (sure you can retract the cable, put a gentle bend in it and shove the cable back in, but that's still not as easy as a side camera view, and besides you don't want to risk damaging the cable by putting sharp bends in it.).

I used this to look inside the cowl of my car to pinpoint a leak into the passenger compartment. It worked great and saved me a from having to take the car to a shop. $$$. I'm sure I will use it again around the house and the cars again.

Worked well until the retaining ring for the camera end came off. It held the metal piece on the camera end. Just a little round retention ring. Pretty much made it non useful to me. There needs to be a better way to secure it.

Bright picture in very dark areas with little to no light. Resolution is ok but good enough to clearly make out what you need to see.

This endoscope simplicity really stands out - just turn it on, point outwards and you are good to go. The rigid cable insures you can easily maneuver the camera into tight spaces for inspections. The adjustable light has 4 brightness settings, adding to the disability in the darker spaces. Although I have noticed, that the brightest light setting might be too bright to the point you won't be able to see items too close to the camera. The package includes two and tissues such as a hook and a magnet, which and toitem usability for retrieving small items. The device offers 1.5x and 2x zoom option, which proves very handy in some situations. The only downside with this product I have noticed is the fixed focus lens which may result in blurry images when the item is too up close or too small. One notable feature I have really appreciated is the slot for memory card. This allows to transfer picture to your computer for later analysis on a larger screen. Despite some minor drawbacks, the device is well worth its price tag, making it a recommendable tool for various tasks, from DIY projects to inspecting hard-to-reach areas.
