Quality soldering iron with adjustable temperature. I started making stained glass projects and this is perfect.

Game changer
I was interested in making stained glass lampshades and was using a couple of cheap soldering irons I had and making a mess more than anything until I got a hakko. If you are even a little bit serious about working with foiled stained glass (windows, lampshades, or those dangley things) go ahead and get one of these

This iron is defective.
This iron did not get hot enough to melt the solder. I have owned two previous Hakko soldering irons and they were excellent. I did not open up this iron to use until recently and it is too late for a return. I guess I'm just out $100.

I've been soldering stainglass Tiffany style for over 40 years
I've been using this soldering iron for years it's the best ever. It's lightweight heats fast love the easy way to change the temperature of the iron. I recommend it completely. It is a great value.
