HOOF-IT Blacksmith Farrier Horse Hoof Stand, Black

I researched these for a bit before deciding upon this one (which was purchased to replace a home made one) and have been well pleased. It is both lightweight and stable - easy to move and adjust, but, yet, also stable for use. The rotating head for filing and nipping is nice (vs replacing or flipping). We only have 4 horses and went to a hoof trimming class as it seemed like it was a struggle to get a farrier out on a regular schedule. Our horses are barefoot (no shoes) so this works great. I think I would have to add a magnet if we used it for shoeing, but that would be relatively easy and inexpensive.

My farrier is pregnant so I'm trimming my horses by myself for a while. This stand made it possible. I'm a small woman and I need to be able to use both hands when I'm trimming hooves. It is adjustable so it works well for all of my horses and my donkey. It was a little high for my miniature horses but I made it work and that was not unexpected since you normally have to order mini sized equipment for them. It is nice and light so I can move it around with one hand. I love that you don't have to have extra pieces for different jobs. You just turn it around. Very convenient! It seems to be good quality. I'll update after it's been used a lot more which it will be. Overall, it's a great value for the money.

This is a great item, but I think it’s overpriced for what it’s built from. And it didn’t come with the magnet on the side for your tools which I thought was a shame. But it’s very comfortable for the house of the horse and it’s worked great what I needed it for. That room for improvement.

I was finally able to use it today, with a break in the weather. I 100% love this product. It came pre-assembled, all pieces were correct and worked correctly, it was the correct color, and it arrived on time. My only "complaint" (which is more of a critique) is that there are no magnets or places for me to put the tools. But this is already an easily remedied concern with a small tool belt of my husband's and some extra strength magnets. It worked great and the adjustment on the height was SO EASY! My horse took a moment to adjust to the height and it was super quick, and clipped back with no issues of slipping. The size worked great for my height, as they suggested on the purchase page. I whole-heartedly suggest you buy this product. If you are worried about the quality for the price you have no fears.

Wish I'd bought this sooner. This stand is lightweight and sturdy one size fits all and can be used to hold the hoof for trimming and filing without needing to change out parts. Definitely a back saver no matter if you use it to trim or just to clean. I have used it for my small Shetland pony as well as my half Belgian draft and quarter horses in between. Easily adjusts height. Very reasonably priced considering other similar stands out there.

Love the weight of it, the sturdiness, and the convenience for my at home husbandry work!

I recommend this 100%. It is lightweight, durable, works perfect for my donkey and mini donkey, saves my back and is comfortable for my donks.

Used for my new draft horse. He came to me with an issue where he wouldn't pick up one of his hind feet very high. Some back issue that I have to get fixed. This stand allowed me to lower the height quickly and to clean that hoof out with no problem. My farrier came and used it also and said "I need to get one of these!" I love it. Takes the load off me. Highly recommend to any horse owner.
