TapePlus Aluminum Foil Tape - HVAC & Ductwork Sealing with HVAC Tape - Metal ...

I have been using aluminum foil tape for years in my shop. It's not much in terms of tensile strength, but it sure can seal air and water leaks. Be careful if you're not used to it; if it folds on itself, it really sticks and is not easy to undo without tearing. Actually, it sticks to just about anything. Just some things adhere better to than others. It works well outdoors, well, for me it does. Not cheap, and there is a reason why; it really is good tape.

Love this stuff. Adheres extremely well, does not come loose. Have purchased three times over two years and would buy again. Has been used outdoors to connect foam insulation panels and lasted more than two winters. I think it would stick to literally anything.

Bought about a dozen rolls of this tape to use with a radiant barrier. This tape works as expected for foil tape, which given the products price, is a good deal for quality. The adhesive sticks to metal panels, wood, and Mylar fabric exceeding well. When exposed to the elements (100F plus heat, rain, 50mph winds), the adhesive starts to break down, but i found it’s still good until the wind catches and pulls the tape up. Once the tape has been pulled up after being set in place for a day or two, the adhesive is no more and the portion of the tape cannot be reused. Unfortunately, like all foil tape, getting the foil off the paper backer can be one huge pain in the arse!

My HVAC guy pointed out that my system was leaking cold air into the garage, so I grabbed this tape and wrapped the trouble spots. Problem solved! It stuck really well and sealed everything up tight. Super easy to use and feels like great quality—definitely glad I picked this up.

Amazing! Ive used metal tape on hundreds of projects over 30 years, and finally found a brand that works as advertized. Nice, strong and thick quality tape as well as its adhesive bonding application. I use metal tape almost as much as i use duct tape, and always dissapointed with performance of the these self proclaiming HEAVY DUTY use crap. Im glad my search is over and will for sure be ordering this tape again.

Works and looks great and it has great adhesive stay put with the great quality it’s made of and it’s affordable ..I used it to keep the heat in my portable ac -unit hose-.

My dryer vents through the floor and the pipe goes under the house out the side wall. It's about 15' from the wall vent to the floor input and at the floor connection sometimes gets loose, making the dryer's pipe disengage from the connection at the floor. I used this tape to reconnect the pipe to the floor connection and get things working as they should. I'm pleased with the adhesion of this tape. It seemed strong enough to do what I needed it to do, and it solved the problem of connecting the two pieces without the need to get someone to go under the house. The only issue I had with this tape was getting the backing off of it. I don't know how you could make this easier, but for me, it was really tough. My daughter has slightly longer nails than I do and she used them to start pieces for me so we worked together to get this done. Maybe there is a trick to it that could be shared, but I don't know it. If you need a tape that is very sticky, with strong adhesion that is also heat resistant, get it. It works as expected.
