Fantastic! Easy, fun and delicious!
Fantastic way to make ice cream! I used a frozen custard recipe with heavy cream and no milk and the ice cream took only 10 minutes to make. 5 min timer to throw the ball back and forth (between two adults or stong youth - its like a medicine ball) then open and stir the ice cream to clean off the walls which freeze the cream first; then, 5 more minutes of tossing the ball and it's done! Easy clean up too. What a great value! I took this on a river trip and it was a big hit! No leaking and the tops are easy to open and close. I could have made this indoors without any mess.

Lots of fun, lasted well so far.
Bought this almost 2 years ago. It has worked well and been fun. Kids have to do some work for their treat. Still looks new. Easy to clean. Makes just enough for a treat. Customize recipes to just what you’d like. Easy to make low or no sugar if that’s needed. Happy with the purchase!

Fun. But does not include Ben and Jerry Recipe Book
We’re having a lot of fun with this! The small instruction manual has a few starter recipes but the actual delivery did not include the Ben and Jerry Recipe book as described in the listing. Still fun though and does work! You’ll need to purchase some food grade rock salt to get started. I did contact them about getting the recipe book and all they did was issue a return request. I don’t want to return it! Just want the recipe book as advertised.

It makes ice cream.
I fought my wife on buying this thing. I'm glad that she did it anyways in retrospect. I had visions of this ball taking up space in my cabinets for years without us ever using it, however, it has made quite a bit of ice cream. I use it now more than her. I like that the container is only one pint, so I'm not making a whole lot at once. It doesn't take a lot of ingredients to turn out some decent ice cream. It's surprisingly fun. You fill the bottom with ice and salt. You fill the top with heavy cream or coconut cream or whatever -add sugar and cocoa powder or vanilla and it turns out pretty damn good every time. I grew up with automatic ice cream makers and ice cream makers that had like a gel pack and all kinds of silly things with crank handles because my dad had dreams of making his own cream at home but he never really did. These things collected dust. Store bought ice cream is perfectly good. The whole idea of making ice cream to me sounds like a miserable chore. Because it's a ball, it doesn't really feel like work and we just started eating the concoctions straight out of the ball which is fine. I was wrong to argue with her when she wanted to buy this. Im converted. You should buy one. Or don't. I don't care.

Fun for kids
This does make the best homemade ice cream! The kids think it’s amazing and fun! Can sometimes leak. Can be annoying to clean the outside part that rolls all over the floor.

A lot of effort for ice cream.
I wanted to like this ball, and it does work, but it was so much effort (and mess) that I don't think it was worth the cost. It leaks when rolling it, and it was SO hard to get the ice cream off the cylinder because of how deep and narrow it is. I also agree with other reviewers who said the middle is like soup and the outside layer is rock hard when the ice cream is done. It's a cool concept, but so much work, and my kids (3 and 6) got bored mixing it before 20 minutes were up. Would not buy again.

Get the kids off the electronics and a sweet treat at the same time
This product was very fun if you want to get kids off their electronics and they have so much fun with this because they're working for their ice cream treat . They get to roll the ball or toss the ball. They can use it indoors and outside very easy to clean. it makes so much ice cream just a little advice make sure you read the instructions on what type of milk you use and they let you know how long to roll or shake the ball

Ice Cream vs. Slushie
Product is 100% as advertised and did turn ingredients into a version of ice cream however it takes a long time and although fun for kids, not really worth all the effort in my opinion. Too hard to kick around like a soccer ball, had to sit and roll it back and forth for 20 + minutes.

Útil y divertido
Cuando lo compré, dudé que funcionara correctamente. Sí funciona. Y es muy divertido para los niños.

Superb ice cream! Quickly!
Works very well. Makes ice cream with your ingredients. Whipping cream makes the best base for rich flavour and fast freezing.

Works great
We broke our first one playing too hard with it. Do not throw it in the air unless you know it will be caught. If it hits the ground it will break like an egg. But we got a good batch of ice cream while camping before we broke it. Got a new one to replace it because is a good product. Just don’t be foolish like us and throw it in the air…
