Chef’s Kiss 🤌🏼
Speechless. Dumbfounded. Flabbergasted. Utterly gobsmacked and yet so darn giddy! This book is one of the best Romantasy books I’ve had the pleasure of reading in a very longgggg time. Truly! It has it all.🐺 Outlander with Werewolves🐺 Kidnapped Princess🐺 Powerful Alphas🐺 Banter, so much banter🐺 Forbidden Attraction / Tension🐺 Golden Retriever MMC & Dark Mysterious MMC🐺 Political Intrigue🐺 Slow-burn to SpicyyyyyyyI am SO in love with Callum. He is the perfect MMC. He loves fiercely, is overprotective without becoming overbearing or overly possessive. He is a natural born leader with a heart that is both sincere and kind. He is willing to unalive anyone who dares hurt Aurora “Rory” but also allows her to fight her own battles as the strong FMC that she is.There is so much character development in Aurora “Rory” that it is fascinating to “watch”. She begins as a pampered, sheltered and naive princess but ends as a woman who will no longer allow herself to be shackled by the expectations of the men around her. She becomes her own person.Blake is such an interesting character. He is the epitome of the “villain” we hate to love. On one hand, he is conniving and his actions can be seen as despicable but on the other, he does and says things which lead you to believe that there is so much more to him and there is good to be found within him.I am so excited to continue this duology in The Night Prince and see what is in store for Callum, Rory and Blake.I wish I could rate this book higher than 5 stars because it truly earned it.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Top Tier Wolf Romantasy
I just finished a reread of The Wolf King in preparation for book 2, and it is an awesome and top tier wolf romantasy that I would absolutely recommend. The story centers around Princess Aurora, who is stolen from her bed the night before her wedding by an enemy Alpha wolf, Callum. As Aurora finds herself behind enemy lines in the war between humans and wolves, and a forbidden attraction grows with Callum, she is forced to evaluate what she wants in her bid for freedom, and whose side of the war she is on.What you can expect…🐺 Outlander with Werewolves🐺 Kidnapped Princess🐺 Powerful Alphas🐺 Forbidden Attraction🐺 Political Intrigue🐺 Slow-burn to SpicyI really, really enjoyed the 3 MCs of this book and how their relationships developed. While I am often times not a big fan of the “virginal and delicate FMC who is helpless” and find that character type annoying, Lauren paints Aurora partially in this light, but with a hidden steel that makes her character so much more interesting and I absolutely loved the strength and development of her character. Callum, is the epitome of an overprotective beast with a gooey center when it comes to Aurora, and I adore his devotion, kindheartedness, and sheepishness while trying to be enough for her, all while being super gruff and manly in his kilt. 😍 Then there’s Blake, who is the deliciously damaged dark horse of the bunch, and I am so interested in cracking beneath the surface of his conniving/devil-may-care attitude to learn more about his past and future plans. Between the two men, I don’t know how it’ll work, but I’m hoping for a why choose at this point… they are so different, but the chemistry and tension are wild!I decided to listen to the recently released audiobook for this reread, and Zara Hampden-Brown and Shane East do an absolutely phenomenal job bringing this story and these characters to life. If you’re an audiobook listener, I highly recommend you check it out!

Awesome Readable Fantasy
To start, this book makes me wish I wasn’t a kindle girl because the cover is gorgeous and not cheesy like most. The book is equally as gorgeous. The two books are long enough to paint beautiful pictures, tell a lovely story, and include ample romance. I love the language and imagery of the book, it’s pretty without being overly flowery to the point where you can’t see the plot like so many fantasy books are.Also- this book is for the Stelena/Delena girlies. It has all the love triangle vibes of Stefan and Damon while having a more interesting FMC. Spoiler: One ‘good’ guy who is still morally grey but treats her like a damsel while abiding by her wishes, one tortured ‘bad’ boy who challenges her and does what needs to be done even if she hates him for it.

surprising read
I’ve read a lot of books in this area recently and I have to say it’s getting a little old but this book was refreshing.Could smell the love triangle a mile away and must say it’s a little ACOTAR-esque but without as much build up, I still like it but I’ll be angry if Callum is twisted. I already dislike that while he seems genuine, he definitely lacks foresight whereas Blake is only plotting and Aurora has to find out what he has in store for her layer which I dislike. But we’ll see what the next book brings although I sadly think it’s going to be a little predictable, likely going for a “shadow daddy” focused book.

I would say 3.5 stars.
Aurora is a princess that has been through alot and she is being forced into a marriage she does not want. Enter Callum our wolf. He is every bit the male MMC you want with tension and some great banter. Then enter in Blake the half wolf who is what you might call a trickster. Aurora is stolen from her home kind of and enters the wolf territory. She is smart and witty but also fearless at times. O and she is a virgin. There is some definite spice in this book, but not a ton of world building. Its got a hint of Scottish terms and clothes that the wolves wear. Decent book with an ok plot, but I'm not sure if ill go onto the next.
