Great book for babies. It's the second I've purchased from the collection and my daughter absolutely loves them.

Decent product - our baby has done his best to disprove the Indestructible tag but no pages torn so far, even if some look a bit mangled. Artwork not as striking as I'd hoped but isn't bad.

Very indestructible, trust me my son has tried!! no words, but you can make up your own stories.

Great book for babies - honestly you can a wash them, they can chew on them and grab them.. the pages wont' rip! The illustrations are vibrant and interesting for babies to look at. Great purchase for your family or as a gift.

Plip-Plop Pond has lovely water color-like illustrations of various pond creatures. I like the style of the artist, who appears to also be the creator of this series of Indestructible books along with her daughter-in-law. (Side note: The daughter-in-law is the mother of triplets and must understand that innate need that babies have to want to destroy pages of paper). I own five books from the series and will cut and paste a similar review for all five of them on Amazon. I started out with two books and immediately bought three more and my 5.5 month old baby has been using and enjoying these books since about 4 months old. I let my baby hold the book and explore it on his own and I don't do much beyond pointing to something on the page and saying, "That's a fish!" or something similar. My baby doesn't constantly want to hear a 20 page story, he just wants to hear my voice while he joyfully attempts to rip up the book. Besides being a new mom, I'm also a librarian; formerly a Children's Librarian although now I work with adults. In any case, I'm aware of the importance of introducing the concept of books early on to get little ones prepared for reading one day and to teach them that books are enjoyable. For babies, that means getting them used to feeling a book (sometimes tasting, it can be hard to get them not to do that and it's how they explore), holding it and encouraging them to look at the pictures. I completely understand the criticisms that some of the users have for the fact that these books are wordless, thus preventing the chance to make word associations and the like. But these books are just plain fun and beautiful to look at and true to their claim, absolutely indestructible, which is all I can ask for in a book for my infant. My baby regularly chews on this book and the others we own, and I have put it in the dishwasher a couple times and it's good as new. I have not tried the washing machine yet. These books are also great for sticking in the diaper bag, as they are thin as a piece of paper practically. In fact, that's my only complaint- it's too easy to lose these books if you aren't careful because they are so slim. I can see myself scooping up a bunch of stuff to throw away and having one of these books at the bottom of a pile of old papers. Also, presentation-wise, they don't look like much but I think any of the books in the series would be a great gift to a new parent because the content is so unique and I think any baby would have fun with them.

Habe von einer Freundin den Tipp für diese Bücher bekommen. Muss sagen, Sie gefallen sehr gut. Sowohl den babys als auch den Mamis ;-) Die Motive sind sehr sehr schön und die Qualität ist 1a, dürfen angesabbert, zerknittert und bespielt werden. Man kann sich selber eine Geschichte zu den Bildern ausdenken, gerade bei dem Fluss-Thema :-) Klare Kaufempfehlung für diese Bücherserie.

Super livre pour les petits car il est indestructible : on peut le mâchouiller, le froisser, essayer de le déchirer, bref il résiste. Si l'enfant le froisse trop, hop on le met sous un gros livre et le tour est joué. Animaux de la ferme. Total j'ai pris quasi toute la collection Bonne idée cadeau
